Jungkook ended up circling the organization grounds in his attempt to douse his burning anger. He couldn't wrap his mind around why you had thrown yourself over Jimin; he was also too stubborn to try. Jimin had tried to hurt, he had hurt you, you should be over him. Not patching him up and watching over him as he slept. He didn't deserve that. He had done nothing for you.
It was he, Jungkook, who had done almost everything for you. He was the one who was protecting you and in return, you should be focused only on him. Jungkook cut between an alley between two buildings, sidestepping trash as he walked. Hands shoved deep in his pockets and stone set face staring dead ahead, he hadn't even noticed it until he tripped over it.
A foot.
A foot sticking out from piles of trash.
Groaning at the gravel and dirt sticking to his cheek, Jungkook wiped at his face with his sleeve, pushing himself up into a kneel position. His eyes trailed over the polished shoe of the foot, up to the knee that was partially obscured by the trash bags piled up. He stood up fully, grabbing a trash bag and hauling it off to the side. Another was tossed and another until he saw the body laying there stiffly.
It was Yoongi.
Jungkook instinctively grabbed his hand, half expecting it to be warm and for the arm to move as well. He was greatly surprised when the hand hadn't budged at all when he lightly tugged at it. Ice cold, Yoongi's hands seemed frozen into a fist. Jungkook stared blankly at the body, his mind unsure.
You were upset at the sight of death, shouldn't he be too?
But Jungkook didn't feel anything. It was just another body lying the trash. Something he had seen many times in his life. There was no point in crying over him. He'd be gone within the week and a new one would be in his place shortly after. Jungkook stared at the clenched fist, catching sight of a glimmer between the fingers. Ignoring the cracklings of forcing the digits apart, he plucked out what Yoongi had been clutching so tightly until his death.
It was that ring.
Jungkook stared down at it, before slipping it into his pocket. Next, he reached for Yoongi's wallet, flipping it open to see what he kept in there. He had always wondered what a Boss kept in their wallet; was it pictures of their dog like any normal person? He tossed Yoongi's credit card and license aside, uninterested in it. Several hundred dollars bills sat in the money flap that Jungkook didn't even glance it. His attention was focused on the photos.
He recognized Namjoon's sister immediately, but Jungkook found himself squinting at Yoongi's image in the photos. He lifted his eyes to the corpse, gaze flickering between the two. His hand shot out, patting around for the credit card and license. He frowned deeply.
"Ah...He saw.."
Jungkook whipped around at the sound of a voice and footsteps. He gaped at the newcomers,"Jin?" Wasn't that your brother? Jin stared curiously at Jungkook. his weight supported with crutches. Jin's brows rose in mock surprise, "Ahh, we were hoping no one would venture back here." He turned to the man beside him, chuckling softly when Jungkook's gaze immediately shifted between the corpse's green hair and his. He slipped his hands into his pocket, eyeing Jungkook cautiously,
"I'm Yoongi." He announced. Jungkook dumbly looked back to the body in the trash, and the newly introduced Yoongi scratched at his nose. "His name is Yoongi too. Choi Yoongi...I'm Min Yoongi." Jungkook glanced down at the credit card, the name Choi Yoongi printed on it in block lettering. He scratched his head. If they were both Yoongi..?
"Y/N thinks you're dead.."Jungkook breathed, blood pressure spiking, "She thinks it's her fault you're dead! ..but...you're not dead?" He motioned to the body,"...He is..? Who the fuck is he!?"
Yoongi's hand dropped from his face and he raised a brow,"Who's Y/N?"
Jungkook helplessly looked to Jin. Jin sighed into his hands, glancing at the confused Yoongi, "My little sister," he explained, "Choi crossed a lot more lines than just challenging Namjoon."
Yoongi sighed, "He may look like me, but he's a fucking dumbass..." Rolling his neck, he stepped over to Jungkook, grabbing a bag of trash and tossing it over the corpse. Once it was covered up once more, Yoongi straightened up, motioning for Jungkook to follow him and Jin. Jungkook stayed rooted to his spot,
"Who are you?" He demanded. None of this made sense. This newcomer did look like the Yoongi lying in the trash, but Jungkook knew from the way he stood and looked at him that he had never seen him before. Was he really the leader? This had to be some backup plan or something...
"What?" He snapped,"I'm Yoongi, were you fucking listening?" He rolled his eyes when Jungkook looked back to the pile of trash that covered the cadaver. "Don't look at him, he was a figurehead who stepped too far out of line and got cut down. I just told him what to do and he did it. If you're thinking who the true leader is, it's me."
Jin huffed irritably, "And when he stopped receiving orders for a few months he started doing whatever he wanted, like beating me and abducting Y/N."
Jungkook stared at the ground thoughtfully..the guy in the trash was the only Yoongi he had ever seen in the group..did everyone in Yoongi's organization know it was overseen by a figurehead? But then, why were Hoseok and Jimin so distraught over the figure head's death? "What about Jimin?"
Yoongi drew a blank,"Who? Oh, the one with..orange hair, right?
I've never met him in person..it was always that one interacting with the members." He ruffled his hair, "But I hear he's part of your gang now? So I'll be taking him back shortly."
Jungkook glared,"You've been running your organization from behind a curtain this whole time, with that guy as your puppet?" He didn't understand...He was their biggest threat and he had never even met any of his subordinates aside from Jin. Were his words that powerful?
Yoongi nodded, "What of it?"
"How? Namjoon thinks you're the most credible threat and you're not even fully devoted! How have you been killing our men and staying ahead of us when you're not even there?"
"Well, seeing as Choi is dead, I guess I'll have to be. I hope Namjoon is prepared."
Jungkook slowly stood to his feet, balance wavering. This was too much to process. He only wanted to walk to cool off and instead he'd filled in on some of the most well-kept secrets of his rival's organization. "I work for Namjoon, why are you telling me all this?" He didn't see how Yoongi could profit from filling Jungkook in on almost anything. Yoongi only smirked, gaze sliding over Jungkook's confused stare.
"Because I like the scared look in your eyes.."
