The Hill

Chapter 1

Daisy's P.O.V

I ran into my apartment, kicking off my shoes and slamming the door shut behind me. I grabbed my laptop. It's Sugg Sunday today. I'm 22 and I still watch Joe Suggs videos, only because I have a massive crush on him but shhhhh. I know I don't have a chance with him because I'm just another fan girl, but I like to dream.

After watching Joe's video I messaged Billie and Hayley on the group chat;

Guys, I'm bored, who's coming on Skype?

They both messaged back;

Hayley - I can in a sevc

Billie - Ignore her spelling, I'll be on in a min

So I answered them,

Okay, I'll ring you both

I set up the group call then rang them both, surprisingly, they didn't take long to answer.

"Hiiiiii" they both yelled excitedly down the computer.

"Hey guys" I said.

"Omg Dais, have you had your nose pierced or is it fake?!" Hayley asked.

"Nah, it's real" I said.

"I didn't even notice" Billie said, she was sat, playing on her phone.

"Who are you stalking?" I asked, laughing.

"Tom Ogden" she stated, continuing to scroll through his social media.

"Who's that?" Hayley asked.

"For goodness sake Hay, she won't stop now you've made her start" I said, laughing again.

"Listen to this song, it's by the band that he's in" she said, playing 'Favourite Room' by the Blossoms.

I sang with Billie to most of the song, Hayley was still sat there confused.

"Put smashed pianos on after this" I said, halfway through the song.

We sang a bit more then started talking about our impossible crushes.

"I'm sorry, but Josh Dun is just fit" Hayley said, showing us a picture of him.

"Nah, Joe Sugg is on another level" I said, showing them a topless picture of Joe.

"Okay he has a nice body, but Tom is the cutest" Billie said, continuing to stalk.

We were on Skype for about 2 hours then I went off. The flat's a mess and so am I so I decided to have a tidy up. I hoovered the whole flat, wiped the inside of all the windows, cleared out the fridge, turned the cushions on my sofa, washed, dried and put away all the dishes, dusted everything and took the rubbish out. After all that I made myself a hot chocolate and sat down to watch some films. I had a huge Disney marathon then started drifting off to sleep. I didn't fall asleep though because I saw a bright, colourful light out of my window, I got up and had a look, fireworks.

Of course, it was bonfire night (November the fifth). I then started to think about upcoming events, such as Billie's birthday, my birthday and Christmas, New Year's Eve, then, 2017.

2016 has gone so quick, it has been the worst yet funniest year of my life. I can't wait until my 23rd birthday, I'm hoping to go somewhere with Hayley and Billie, but I'm not too sure yet.

After watching different fireworks explode in the sky, I dragged myself upstairs. I put my phone on charge, changed into my pjs then went to sleep.

The next day

I woke up and turned off my 8.30 am alarm, I knew I was going to get up straight away so I cancelled my other 8 that were set to go off every 5 minutes from now. I couldn't decide on what I wanted to do today, I thought about it for a minute then messaged the girls.

Daisy - Anyone up for shopping today? X

Billie - Count me in, meet you by the hill at 10 am?

Daisy - Okay Bil, you coming Hay? X

Hayley - Yeah I'll come, see you by the hill. X

I put my phone in my bag. I did my makeup, got dressed and tied my red hair up into a high ponytail, I pulled a few strands out and loosened it a little bit so it wasn't too tight. I was wearing light blue, ripped skinny jeans and a white top that laced up at the front, I also put on my pink bomber jacket and my black converse shoes. The Hill. I haven't been there in a while.

I kept thinking about the last time I actually went to the Hill. It was when my ex took me there, he wasn't my ex at the time but he then became my ex while we were on the Hill. It's seen as quite a romantic place because it over looks the sea, at the top there's benches and pretty, wild flowers that sit around where ever they want. It's steep but not too steep so you can roll down it.

I stopped myself from daydreaming and checked the time, 9.28 am, it only takes me 5 minutes to walk to the Hill so I finished off my makeup, had a bit to eat and brushed my teeth. I put my purse in my bag, along with some tissues, my lipstick, my sunglasses, a little mirror, a bottle of water and a packet of sweets to nibble on while I shop. My phone was already in there so I set off, locking the door behind me, to The Hill.

I arrived a few minutes before the other two but when they got here, we set off to the centre of Brighton. It was a gorgeous day, there were only a few, white clouds in the sky and the sun was really bright, I pulled my sunglasses out of my bag and put them on.

"Squinting makes you go wrinkly quicker" I said laughed, Billie and Hayley shook their heads and carried on walking. I checked Twitter as I walked so see Joe had tweeted;

Out shopping in Brighton today with Zoe, if we bump into you, make sure you say hey! X

I retweeted and liked the tweet then continued to scroll. I thought nothing off it because he's always shopping the same time as us, we just never get lucky enough to see him.

After a long day of shopping, I gave Hayley and Billie my bags to hold while I nipped into Starbucks to get us some drinks. I ordered a Chocolate Cream Frappucino, Billie and Hayley wanted hot drinks so I got them both a hot chocolate each. When the drinks were ready, I had a cup holder for the hot chocolates in my left hand and my drink in my right. As I was walking out of Starbucks. Someone walked into me, causing me to drop my drink, luckily it didn't go on me.

"Omg I'm so sorry" he said, covering his mouth with his hands.

I just stood there staring at him in amazement.

"You said on your tweet that if i bumped into you to say hey. So, hey Joe!" I said, still shocked.

"I know, I'm sorry about all this, I didn't mean it literally, this was all an accident, sorry..." he said.

"It's fine, don't worry about it" I said, looking outside to see Billie and Hayley laughing at me.

"If you want, I'll pay for a new drink for you and I'll take you out for a drink some time" Joe suggested, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Sure, I'd like that" I said, smiling.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Daisy" I said, smiling.

"I love your name, I'm guessing you already know mine?" He asked and I nodded.

"Do you want my number so we can arrange things?" I asked, I sounded so much like a creepy stalker and I'm probably going to ruin my chances to make a decent friend.

"Yeah sure" he said, handing me his phone, I put my number in it and saved my contact as "Daisy"

"I'll see you later Daisy" he smiled at me as I walked out of Starbucks with my new drink.

All the way home Hayley and Billie took the piss out of me.

But hey, Joe Sugg has my number....
