Chapter 3

Billie's P.O.V (Jess)

Not many people know much about me, obviously there's Daisy and Hayley, and my fans...

Okay so I'm known for my music, my YouTube channel is Billie Claire, I upload weekly covers of me singing songs, I also do open mics and I get quite a few gigs in different places.

I got bored so I turned on my Blossoms album, obviously my favourite song was "Favourite Room" but I also like "Cut Me and I'll Bleed" "Smashed Pianos" and basically every other song on the album.

I sent out a tweet;

I hit tweet and put my phone on charge, running downstairs I thought about what cover to film. I got a drink of Coca Cola and I also got a tube of salt and vinegar Pringles then ran back upstairs.

I got my guitar out of the case and started playing a few random chords. "This sounds pretty good" I thought to myself. I wrote them down in my song book full of lyrics for my own songs, I'll make a song to go with the chords another day.

I put my camera on to the tripod and set up the microphone. I'm now sat on my bed with my guitar on my knee. What shall I film? While I was deciding what to film I heard my phone go off, picking it up I saw it was a tweet. I've got this thing on my phone where it only tells you what the notification is from not who it is.

After opening my phone up I saw it was Tom Ogden from the Blossoms, he liked my tweet, retweeted it then followed me on twitter. I was fangirling so much, I was sad that he didn't reply but I'm grateful he actually liked my tweet.

I filmed my cover of "Dollhouse" by Melanie Martinez and uploaded it. Once it had finished uploading I put the link to the video on Twitter.

I only have about 2,500 subscribers on YouTube but I've been noticed around Brighton before by people who love my covers. I've had numerous pictures with fans and I love meeting everyone.

After 10 minutes of my video been on YouTube and the link on twitter, I got a message on the group chat from one of the girls.

Daisy - Loving the new cover Bil, exactly what I need when I'm ill xx

Hayley - I haven't had time to listen yet, I'll do it later. Also Daisy, I thought you need paracetamol when you're ill, not a cover xx

Daisy - Very funny Hay, I meant, her covers cheer me up xx

Then I replied;

Billie - Thanks Dais, no problem Hayley :) xx

I then had another twitter notification, this time it was a dm. Again, from Tom. I was gobsmacked, I couldn't believe my celebrity crush had messaged me on twitter, followed me, liked and retweeted my tweet, all in the space of an hour.

I opened up the message.

Thanks for all the support, I love your covers! When's your next gig? - Tom x

I squealed, then thought about sending a screenshot to the girls but then I decided against it, this can be my little secret because everyone keeps secrets, right?

It didn't take me long to answer back,

Hiya Tom, thanks for doing what you do, I love your music too and my next gig is next week - Billie x

He then answered with;

Where is your gig next week? - Tom x

A pub in Brighton called the Red Bull - Billie x

Cool, do you have plans for tomorrow? - Tom x

Yeah, I'm going to see a band called The Starkins with my friend - Billie x

Oh right, maybe we can meet up another day, here's my number 07836748284, text me later and we can make plans - Tom x (A/N I don't know if it's a real number, I just made it up)

Is this real? I'm currently putting Tom Ogden's phone number into my phone, I don't know how but I'm currently talking to my crush. I mean, I haven't even met him in person but he already seems like the nicest guy I've ever met, and I mean that.

I carried on talking to Tom for a bit longer, we talked about my covers and me writing my own songs. He also said that he can get me tickets to see The Blossoms. Oh and the best part about all of it, he wants to film a cover with me for my YouTube channel and he wants to sing one of his band's songs. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

A/N, sorry this chapter was so short. I also want to say that the person who Billie is based on is called Amy, she has a YouTube channel called 'Amy Louise' and you should all check her out. Her covers are brilliant and she has 2 original songs out at the minute. So I suggest you go and watch a few of those, then continue reading this book.
