A/N: Hi guys! This is my first story in this website so I hope you guys like it! I will not upload very frequently due to school projects and stuff, but I will try to upload everytime I can, just so you know. So my uploading may be pretty random sometimes.

"This is our new home?" Melissa stared at the creepy looking house, wondering if someone ever actually lived there.

"Yes, sweetie. Now go inside with your sister to choose your bedrooms." The mother was obviously annoyed that her daughter was not happy living somewhere else other than a tiny apartment.

"Yay! I get my own room!" Katie, Melissa's little sister, was more enthusiastic, since she was finally getting her own room. At least I get my own room, thought Melissa as she got her suitcase and entered the big house. Back in the car, their father was trying to convince their mother that Melissa won't have her attitude for long.

Melissa went to the long hallway and chose the room at the end. "This one's mine!" She entered the room and soon regretted choosing it. The room was big, but it was a really bright pink. Everything was bright pink. In it was a bed with pink bed sheets, a pink nightstand, and a pink closet. Everything else was taken out. Melissa groaned, knowing that it will stay like that for a while until she can paint it the color she wanted, black. Probably why the house was so cheap, cause it had ugly colors.

"I choose this one!" Her little sister was at the other end of the hallway, looking at her own bedroom, when she suddenly squealed and ran inside. How can she be so happy? wondered Melissa. She always wondered that. Everyone was so happy and she was there being herself. Well, they don't have the past experiences I had. Melissa was bullied a lot for being different. She is a dark-haired girl who loves bands like Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. She is 17 and her background only consisted of being ignored, ever since her sister was born, 9 years ago.

"I see you already chose your rooms! Now let's think... What should we eat for dinner? You think about that for 30 minutes while you arrange your bedrooms, okay?" Her mother stated very happy with their father in her side.

"Mom? Can I go to the store to buy paint because I want my room a different color to not see this ugly color." Her mom enters her daughter's room, then turns to her husband, asking for help.

"Sure, hon. Just come back in an hour." Her father stated, giving her fifty dollars. Melissa left, earbuds already in her ears and phone in her pocket. She got the keys to the house and the fifty dollar bill without a word, and left the house.

"Perfect." Melissa looked at her room, happy with it. She took the things out and painted them black. Then, she went inside to paint her room. After about 2 hours of working hard, she finished.

"Now, to eat." She went to their living room, which was already filled with boxes and furniture.

"Hey sweetie. You finished with your room?" Her mother asked her, while handing her a slice of pizza.

"Yeah, I just need the furniture, and viola." Melissa sat down in the floor with her slice and devoured it, since she was hungry.

After everyone finished, her father yelled, "Now, who wants dessert? Is ice cream good?"

"Yay! Ice cream! I love ice cream! Ice cream! You scream! Everyone screams for ice cream!" Her little sister started singing.

"I'll just stay here or have a walk around since I'm full." Melissa surely didn't want to be with her family any longer, as mean as it may sound.
