Alison

I swung myself over the bar. It was the adrenaline rush I got when I flipped, the strength I felt pulling my own weight, the love I felt when everyone clapped for me. When people said, "I wish I had your skill." Or "I can see the way you love the sport in your eyes." When I'm in the gym, my world makes sense. No boys, no school, no family, no friends. No one to judge me. But outside of gymnastics, things were different.

The bell shrills in the echoey halls in the torture hole of a school I go to. Aaand, late again. "May I ask why you are late, Miss Marion?"

"No." I reply. "Why not?" "Because I don't need your nagging." "Miss Marion I am not having your attitude this morning!" My English teacher says in her old-woman-I-think-I'm-cool-shrill voice. I sink into my sick and roll my eyes. I feel my mascaraed eyelashes on my eyebrows. I put my hand though my long, brown hair and sigh. Almost winter break. Then walks in Landon, the cutest boy at our school. Naturally, everyone would think that we should date him being the top basketball player on our school team and me being the top cheerleader for them. The star crossed lovers. The 'perfect' couple. But apparently not. Landon has never noticed me once, nor talked to me or even glanced in my direction since the accident last year. It tears me apart everyday.

Landon

I look at Alison as I walk into English class, she doesn't look up from the board or even agknowledge me. Her and I, well, what can I say we're supposed to be THAT couple. How does everyone expect that when she doesn't even notice me? She drives me insane. She's so beautiful and I hate her. But I love her. And I wish she would talk to me. Ugh.

Alison

The shrill bell strikes again. Landon hurries in front of me. What is he doing, running from me? Ugh, whatever. I run up the stairs to my locker I run smack into (almost making out with) Landon. "Oh my god, sorry." I say blushing and picking up my things from the ground, hair falling in front of my red cheeks. "No, it's my fault. Let me help you." He says almost looking relieved. "No no your fine. I mean, thanks but I've got it." Blushing more, ugh. "Oh, okay." He says, disappointed. "Well, see you around, Landon." I give him a small smile and walk away to my locker.

Landon

She walks away from me so confident with that little cute smile on her face. I messed up my chance to apologize for the accident. I walk to talk to one of my basketball buddies, Jarod. "Ayy, I saw you have a little run in with Alison! Dang she's hot. Why aren't you guys together?" Jarod didn't play last year he's a freshman so he has no idea about the accident. "Oh, yeah. I don't really know." I say, opening my locker.

A/N Ill try to update every week I don't know what day! Hope you're enjoying the book

Alison

As I walk toward my locker my best friend Emma approaches me and gives me a nudge on my shoulder. "I saw your 'run into' Landon." She wiggles her eyebrows. "It was nothing." I say and turn back to my locker. She gasps. "Is someone crushing again?! Oh my god, Ali. I thought you never would since the accident." I glare at her. She wasn't supposed to bring up the accident, no one was. It was a touchy subject for me and Landon especially since it caused the break up. "No I'm not crushing on Landon again." "Sureeee.." She fades off, still staring at me. I pat her on the shoulder. "Whatever stops the tears, baby." Then I smirk and walk to class.

Landon

"Dude, you guys are totally meant for each other. You both have that stupid attitude, Jesus. What's your problem today?" Chad says while he laces his shoes. "You are my problem, Chad." I say sarcastically. He gives me little 'whatever' face. "I've gotta get out there." I say to avoid their questions about today. I was totally and completely in love with Ali again. This was bad. Very, very bad.
