I needed to calm down, so I went to the gym. I called Sierra and asked her if I could stop by, I hadn't had the greatest night. After she agreed, I drove over the speed limit to get there. I stepped out of the car and looked for the spare key on top of the door. I found it unlocked the door. A wave of cool air hit my warm face and made me feel a little better. I changed into my gym clothes that I always had with me just for emergencies and stepped onto the floor. I did my regular routine, cartwheel rounding backhand-spring double twist landing. It made me feel better to land my twist. I stayed at the gym for about an hour when my mom called and asked where I was, that the meet ended 2 hours ago. "I'm just practicing at the gym a little longer mom." "Oh, okay honey that's fine. Be careful. Love you." "I will, mom. Love you." I hung up. I went to beam and did my routine. I decided why not, how bout I try a new skill? I never really needed a spotter so why would I need one now? I thought. So I start with the cartwheel, landed it. I had never been able to do a backhand-spring on beam and I was kind of nervous. But after my blow out with Landon I had all the courage I needed. I got ready and jumped backwards. All I remember last was seeing my hands, but not landing on the beam.
