As we all are a bunch of middle-school students, we didn't stay silent long. We all were chatting again shortly after Kristie left. It was all mindless, nervous chit-chat. Where we were going to be sorted, who might we end up working with, when was Kristie going to be back, is she coming back or will we be sent home after? All these questions, but so far no legitimate answers.

"Stars, we're all so nervous now!" Shelia said. "And we thought that our little street trick would help."

"She, we did what we could and it helped for a little while!" I said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"I suppose so. . ." Shelia sighed, wrapping her arms around herself. "I just hope that it won't affect how I get sorted."

"We got clearance for it. You have nothing to worry about!" I told her.

"Except for ending up as a waitress, which I definitely won't have to deal with!" A voice said from behind.

I really didn't even have to turn around to know who it was. There was only one kid in this class who thought he was high and mighty. I banged my head on my desk. "Hey, Alfie. Come to grace us with your presence?"

"Indeed I have, Natalya. Have you reconsidered my offer?" He asked, running a hand through his blond hair and placing it on my desk.

I stood, and faced him. "One, take your hand off my desk unless you want it cut off," He quickly removed his hand, "Two, I would rather kiss a rotting corpse than even consider dating you."

"So that's a maybe?" Alfie said.

"It's a straight up no. Now leave before I kick you into next Thursday." I said. Alfie grumbled and left as I sat back down.

"He really doesn't give up, huh?" Shelia said, shaking her head.

"He doesn't and it's rather annoying," I said. "Do you think if I hit my head hard enough I'll die?"

"With enough force, you could possibly shatter your skull and cause great damage, but our medicine would probably bring you back. But you would have a metal plate for a frontal skull." Shelia said.

"But I won't be dead. That sucks." I said.

"Will Alfie Beckenbauer please come to the hall and prepare for sorting, please. Thank you" Said the woman behind the intercom.

"Ah, of course, I will!" Alfie said from the back corner of the room.

"I leave you, for I can't stand another freaking monolog of his." I picked up a pencil off the floor and pretended to stab it through my throat, flopping onto my desk.

"Natalya, no!" Shelia dramatically said, flopping onto my "dead" body.

"I will never forget you, my dear classmates. When I am famous and living in the highest of high class I will remember all that you have done for me. And my dear, sweet Natalya. Then you won't be able to resist me. I am going to be a multiverse traveler at your side." He said, placing a little carved rose onto my desk.

"You have no chance, Alfie," I said.

Shelia raised off my back."She's right. It's most likely only one person from this classroom will be chosen as a multiverse traveler. Natalya has it in her blood, tracing back all the way to the time that the Queen and her people arrived." Shelia said, tossing her sleek, black hair over her shoulder.

 "Then I must-" Alfie began.

I raised off my desk. "Oh, my stars, Alfie! Just go!" Alfie sighed and exited the room. I swear that everyone released a breath of relief as he left. "I can't believe him!"
