Elsbeth's Nanny

 This is my first book that i published. I hope you like it. 

Ch.1 – Is she the perfect nanny with not the so perfect past

It was the second day that the interviews still continued and still I couldn't get the right nanny for Elsbeth. Her perfect nanny was a fairy princess type but I still couldn't find that nanny. It been four years since Elena had passed away from cancer. Elsbeth was just a year old and I had abandon  her and left her, so I could just lock myself away in my work and  room to grief over the women that I was married to for six long years, the women that gave birth to the child that looks so much like her. Elseth's last nanny quit because the child was too much for her. How could an old unmarried woman that was probably only sixty years old and couldn't take care of five year old girl.

There was a knock at the door. "Come in." I said to the person on the other side of the door. I turned around in my desk chair to see Benjamin the butler that worked for my family since I was eight. He was an old thin man, with grey hair wearing a black suit and a black tie.  "Miss Lydia Castio she came for the interview to be Elsbeth nanny, sir." He responded. "Send her in then." He walked out and I put my elbows on the desk and buried my head in my hands.

When I looked up two seconds later and saw a tall slender woman with tan skin, long black curly hair that reached down to her waist, dark  green eyes. She was wearing a black skirt that reached her to the knees, a white blouse, black blazer, and black pumps. She was a young  pretty woman. "So you must be Miss Castio. Welcome." "Hi. You must be Mr. Hallowell. It's good to meet you sir." She said as she walked up to me shook my hand and gave me her resume. She had manners.  "Please take a seat, why don't you." She did as she was told and sat down in a leather chair on the opposite side of me. The sun hit my back through the window.

I looked down at her resume and back at her. "I see that you worked as a nanny before. Why did you quit? Did they not pay well? Tell me." I told her and she responded while looking me in the eyes and holding my gaze.

 "They paid well. The children where sweethearts, but I couldn't stay because of my employer's husband. He tried to make a pass at me." "Could you be a little more descriptive at what happen and why you made that choice?" "I was working for the Thornton family. I was there for at least five months. It was late at night and I want downstairs after I put the youngest child back to sleep after he had a bad dream. I entered the dining room to turn off the lights because they were on. When I walked in I saw Mr. Thornton. He was drunk and he told me he was looking for the whiskey. Then he asked me what I was doing up and I told him I was going to turn off the lights and retire to my room, so I told him since he was in there I should leave them on and retire for the night. Then he started walking towards me and said I should keep him company. That we could keep company for each other. That we both could retire for the night. But he wanted us to have a little fun for the night in my room. That I was attractive to him. But how could I since I was wearing sweats, and a long loose shirt. For I mostly hid myself in oversize clothes and didn't bother to look at him twice since I started working for his family and never had a conversation with him because I was busy taking care of his six kids even the two older sons he had that were 21 and 22 years old. I told him that I wasn't here to fool around but to take care of his children. He didn't care and there for launched at me. I jumped back and he managed to grab and my ankle and tugged at it and I fell to the ground. I didn't lose my cool but started to shake him off of my ankle. He ignored what I told him and grabbed one of my knees with his hand and I kicked him in the face causing to break his nose. Insulted me by calling me a dirty good for nothing filthy cheap ass bitch of a  whore. He pulled me down to him and was on top of me slobbering his mouth on my neck I kicked him as hard as I could in the testicles. The only thing it did was get him more furious so I screamed for him to get off of me over and over for at least four times and he clasped his hand on my mouth to muffle the sounds of my yell until. I bit it and he got his hand of my mouth and screamed for help to get him off of me. The chef came in his blue pajamas. He was fifty-three years old with grey streaks in his tousled black hair. His name was Steve. He pushed Mr. Thornton off of me and the chef got punched in the face and fell back. Then his two oldest son of my employer Kole and Chase picked me up and Steve. Their father yelled at them to get out. They ignored him and steadied the poor chef. He ran at me and I kicked him while he ran at me and he fell back with the wind knocked out of him. His wife came in and saw her two sons holding the chef. Her husband on the ground lying on his back with a bloody broken nose and me with my hair going in all directions. He had a lovely wife but didn't know how to appreciate what he had. She asked me what happen and I told her that her husband tried to sexually assault me, Steve tried to get him off and got punched in the face, how her sons came to help us up and then steady Steve on his feet. They got yelled at to get out, and why I kicked because he came charging at me. She was disappointed at what her husband did. Told him to get  out of her house and said she wanted a divorce. Gave us her dearest apologizes and said it won't happen again and he won't be coming back into her home. Steve said he was fine and I told her I quit and I was only going to leave in two weeks and there was a friend who was looking for a job even though it pained me to leave her kids because that I came real close too. She understood and the day I left the kids hugged me and my ex-employer gave me a weak smile and hugged me tight and wished the best for me. I know my decision was for the best for me and her both."
