My new boss seems nice and the second I saw this beautiful little girl I became attached to her real quick. She led me down the hall up the stairs on the left side of the wall that ascended in the living room up to her bedroom that was the third on the left side. Her room had a four poster bed that had light pink curtains and the room was painted a fuchsia color with white polka-dots. The walls had pictures of puppies and kittens. Some of the walls  had pictures drawn probably by Elsbeth on them. There was a large white drawer with a 60’inch flat screen TV.  And a makeup table with a mirror that had lights on them. A small drawer with a lamp that matched the wall next to the bed. And it had its own walk in closet, bathroom  with a fireplace in the center of the room with three plastic chests on the left side of the room. “This is my room and now we must go find grandpa in the kitchen let’s go.” The little girl said and led me out of the room again down the flight of stairs with the skirt of her dress dancing around her and me trying to not break my ankle in the retched but beautiful must have   pumps I was wearing.

We made it into a big kitchen, the walls of the kitchen was shiny ebony wood with granite top counters and cabinets. There was a rectangle shape crystal table with eight black chairs surrounding it and in one chair sat a man that looked like an older version of Mr. Hallowell, he didn’t even look eighty-six most likely  fifty-six. He had blond hair but a little darker with grey streaks at the side combed back. He had the same barrel chest and muscular arms as his son. He was wearing a black shirt and faded out jeans with work boots. He was a handsome fellow for his age. He was talking to a man whose back was to us that was wearing a black suit with a full set of grey hair. “Hi grandpa and hi Benjamin. I got a new nanny today and her name is Lydia  and I’m going to have a blast with her and she  six times better than Ms. Putershment and I bet you are going to want to marry her, even you Benjamin even though she’s younger than both of you but you’re two are still pretty.”  She told them and they turn to look up at us. I stepped forward and shook hands with the father of my employer “Hi, Mr. Hallowell. It’s a pleasure to meet you sir.” And I turn and shook hands with the other man “it’s great to meet you Mr. Benjamin.”  They smiled and said hi as well. “I see my son had hired you already that quick. I’m happy that he picked you to be Elsbeth’s nanny. You are quite a beautiful young lady. I just know my son didn’t make a mistake to hire you. I hope you can stay for dinner with us. We’re having pizza tonight for the third time this week. Since its Friday today I think you won’t have a trouble moving in tomorrow. Since we had Elsbeth’s last nanny that we had since she was a year old, she cause all of the staff but accept Benjamin to quit and leave this house. So since the last two months we were eating take-out and so it suck and now we have to hire a staff again. I hope you don’t drive Benjamin away.” Mr. Hallowell.

“I promise you that I’m not like her. I never made any of the staff members quit but except make them go on strike by accident when they heard what happen to me that cause me to quit and they calmed down when Mr. Thornton wasn’t going to be there. So I don’t think I’m going to make anyone run away screaming down the hill, scared. At least I hope so.” I told him and smiled back at him and Benjamin just craned his head back and let out a long, loud, laugh.

“ It’s 3:30, Elsbeth needs to take her nap in thirty minutes and trust me it’s hard to make her take a nap. From word to the wise.” He told me until a little outburst from Elsbeth came out “I don’t have to go take a nap until 5:00 in the afternoon.” “aren’t you a little liar Ms. Elsbeth.” Replied her grandpa.

“ It be easy and if you want I can cook for your family tonight if you like if you don’t want to eat pizza tonight? I could also make a batch of cookies later after I put Elsbeth for her nap.” I told them and had a huge smile on my face because I already fell attached to my employer’s family and employee.  This family was almost perfect. They were the perfect family that I always dreamed of my whole life.

“I would love that, and since my little star, mentioned I would even want to marry you, she was right. Ms. Castio, would you marry me ?” I let out a soft laugh at what Mr. Hallowell said. “ Thanks, but I barely know you. I also like it if you called me by my name Lydia, Mr. Hallowell.” I replied and he answered me by “then call me Thomas, I already like you that quick Lydia and we don’t have that much time for you to put Elsbeth to sleep.”

As he mentioned it I said “Oh yeah. Got to go, see you in a while Thomas and you to Mr. Benjamin.” Like that I and Elsbeth strode out of the kitchen and up to her bedroom where I told her the story of the paper bag princess.
