Falling for My Best Friend

Fast Forward

{FAST FORWARD TO EIGHTH GRADE. }

"Andy!! Stop!" I giggled and then just lightly pushed him off of me.

"Hmm, why should I?"

He had attacked me after school. I was walking home alone and I had just reached my street. He had made me stumble forward, but he caught me and pulled me into a hug.

"Ugh, fine. I'll allow this, but what's up?" I looked over my shoulder and up to see his baby blue eyes.

He looked at me and replied," let's just say that somebody is bringing someone to their concert..."

My eyes had widened and I turned around." Wha-!" I stopped and grinned.

He just grinned at me and chuckled." Happy Birthday you idiot." He hugged me.

When I was with my best friend, I felt safe. Always did. Maybe it was because he was a guy, maybe not?

I removed myself from the hug and invited him over. Of course, he always stopped by. It was normal for my parents to see him. They liked the fact that my best friend was protective and kind.

I was extremely jumpy as we walked him.
