I kneeled down to the knocked out Dark in front of me. He was just lying here on his side in the corner. I tried to shake him awake, not knowing what else to do.

"D- Dark! Cmon.." Tears started to come to my eyes. I hated seeing him like this. Eventually I just gave up and hunched over to nuzzle my head into his neck and put an arm around him. I felt like Simba in The Lion King..

Only Dark isn't dead.

I heard footsteps behind me and I sat up, still facing Dark and having my arm around him.

"Oh look, the little pipsqueak's awake." I knew that voice. I fucking knew that voice. A voice I thought was on my side.

"JackSepticGlitch. What a nice day to be stabbed in the back, huh?"

"Oh yes, I must say I agree with ya there, Anti."

I stood, turning to face him. I made sure Dark was alright and not being taken away by SkyBrine and Wilford who were on the sides of Glitch.

"Why are you doing this? I would like to know before I pound your small-ass head into the cold, hard ground."

"Oh, simple really. You're the most powerful demon on earth. Thing is, I want that title, too. We all do. So if I kill you, I get the title."

"What does Dark have to do with any of this."

"Nothing, really. It's just difficult to take out an easy target when their lover is the King of Torture. So knocking him out was our first priority."

"You said that everyone wanted my 'title'." I used air quotes to show my point. "So why are they working with you?"

"I've beaten them all in fights. Multiple for each person. I deserve that title. I just need to beat your sorry-ass and I'm home free into a life of recognition."

"People recognize you in the worst way when you're in my shoes! You all are lucky you don't have my title!"

"Don't lie to me, pipsqueak. Now let's get this show on the road. This should be as easy as knocking out your boyfriend there."
