The Player That Got Played

"Do You Want To Date?"

The next day, the same thing happened. I walked onto the school grounds, people will start to make fun of me. I go to class, people make fun of me. People make fun of me everywhere I go, except for when I go to the garden. Days passed by and the same thing happened over and over.

I found out that the guy that I bumped into the first day was Daehyun, one of the school kingkas. There were queenkas too, Lee Jihye and Choi Eunsol, but they were nice, I never got the chance to talk to them at school, but I could tell that they were nice. I was sitting behind the tree, doing my usual thing, listening to music with my eyes closed. I then felt someone tapping on my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see Daehyun next to me, smiling. What does he want? I took out one of my earbuds.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I've been wanting to ask you this." He said while rubbing the back of his neck. He was now looking down at the ground.

"What?" I asked while taking out the other earbud,

"Do you want to date?" He asked then looked up at me again. What? I was shocked at what he just said.

"I'm sorry, were you talking to me?" I asked while pointing at myself. He nodded his head while smiling. I continued to stare at him, shocked and confused. I barely know you, though.

"Look, I've liked you ever since I saw you. I've been wanting to ask you that question for so long. It took me that long because I was afraid of you rejecting me." He said. I was still staring at him. "So is that a yes?" He asked then placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Ahh." I said without knowing. "I guess." I said while shrugging my shoulders.

"Thank you for giving me a chance." He said then got up. "Meet me at the school gates after school." He said. I hummed in response then plugged my earbuds back in. "I'll see you later." He said then kissed my cheek before leaving the garden. What the fuck? I thought to myself while cupping the cheek that he just kissed. Why did I even agree to this? Oh, right, because of them. I got up and started to make my way back to my class.

Once the last bell rang for the say, I didn't run out the door like I always do. I took my time and did everything as slowly as possible because I didn't want to see Daehyun yet. I wasn't sure if he was serious or if he was just playing with me, so I tried my best to stretch out the time.

I slowly walked out of the school, It took me about twenty minutes for me to get out of the school. Once I got to where Daehyun wanted to meet, I saw him leaning against the gates on his phone. Was he serious about what he said earlier? I slowly made my way to him.

"I'm here." I said while fixing my backpack strap. Daehyun looked at me then smiled widely.

"Great! Let's go on our date!" He shouted making everyone turn and look at us. Great. I ducked down, trying to avoid them looking at me. "Come on." He said then grabbed my hand. He dragged me over to the bus stop.

"Where are we going?" I asked. Daehyun turned around and looked at me.

"Somewhere." He said.

"Yeah, but where?" I asked.

"Secret." He said with one finger pressing against his plump ass lips.

"Okay, then." I said quietly. He smiled then pulled me down to sit down with him. Once the bus came, Daehyun pulled me onto the bus and into the back. We sat down near the window. "Is this going to be a long ride?" I asked then looked up at him again. He smiled then shook his head. I nodded my head then took out my phone and started to play a random game. After a couple minutes, I felt Daehyun poking my cheek. I looked up at him with a blank expression.

"We're here." He said while smiling. I turned off my phone and got up with him. He then dragged me off the bus and into a random cafe.

"This is where our date's going to be?" I asked then looked up at him with an "are you serious" face. You could have just told me that we were going to a cafe and instead of trying to make it as a secret.

"No, we're just grabbing a drink." He said while walking over to the counter. "Can I get a green tea bubble tea and a mango bubble tea. Thank you." He said then flashed her a smile. While Daehyun was waiting for the bubble tea to come out, I sat near the window, on my phone looking at something. At the corner of my eye, I saw Daehyun sitting there with the two drinks. "Here's mango, you're favorite." He said with a smile. I looked up at him.

"How did you know it's my favorite?" I asked.

"I have my ways." He said. Creep. I hummed in response.

"Thanks." I said quietly then take a sip.

"Come on." He said then grabbed my hand again.

"Where are we going, now?" I asked while putting my phone back into my pocket.

"Back on the bus." He said then pulled me down to sit with him. Once the bus came, Daehyun pulled me onto the bus and into the back again. I got out my phone again and started to play a random game. While I was in the middle of playing, I felt Daehyun tugging on my arm. "We're here, come on." He said then pulled me off the bus. I looked up and saw the mall. Okay? He pulled me in there and up to the top floor, which is a movie theater. So cliche. He bought the tickets then went over to me. "The movie doesn't start until seven. We have two hours to do anything we want at the mall." He said with the same smile. "So, what do you want to go?" He asked. Home. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Where do you want to go?" I asked then tilted my head slightly, trying to act cute.

"I don't care, as long as I'm with you." He said. I smiled. "There's that cute smile." He said while slightly pinching my cheeks. My smile widened. "Come on." He said then held out his hand for me to hold. I held his head while still smiling. Daehyun and I walked around the mall trying to see if there was anything that we wanted.

"I'll be right back." I said then ran into the bathroom. After doing my business, I walked out and back over to Daehyun. He immediately smiled once he saw me. "Sorry, did I take long?" I asked. He shook his head then held up a box. "What's this?" I asked.

"A present," He said then handed it to me. "For you." I studied the box for a couple seconds.

"When did you get this?" I asked.

"I got it while you were in the bathroom." He said. Daehyun looked at the box then at me. "Open it." He said.

"Okay." I said quietly then opened the box slowly. Inside the box was a necklace with the word "Baby" on it. I looked up at him. "Thank you, it's beautiful." I said while smiling slightly.

"Let me put it on for you." He said. I handed him the box. He took out the necklace and went behind me. After securing the necklace, we continued to walk around the mall. Once it was almost time for the movie to start, we went back up to the top floor.

"Today was fun." I said while stopping at the front of my door. "Thank you for taking me out." I said.

"You're welcome and I had fun too." He said.

"I guess, I'll see you tomorrow, then." I said. Daehyun hummed in response.

"I'll see you at school." He said then waved. I waved before unlocking my door. Well, today was fun.
