I slipped out my bed quietly and hummed under my breath slightly. I grabbed my swimmers, sprinted into the bathroom, got changed and slipped shorts and a top over. I was just about to leave the room when I heard Niall's sleepy mutter, "Where you going?"
"The beach. It soothes me" I added hesitantly. He opened his eyes and yawned as he got out of bed.
"I'm coming"
"No wait, you don't have swimmers do you? And it's only 5:00am you know" I said quickly, not wanting to bother him...and the paparazzi.
"I do have swimmers, silly. It's Cali. And I know it's 5:00" He answered as he slipped into the bathroom. I sighed slightly as I waited for him to come back.
"Ready" He said as he got out. I breathed in a little. Okay, it's official, he is super cute, funny, kind and hot. "Like what you see?" He smirked, noticing my gaze.
"I've seen better" I lied, smiling innocently.
"Ouch. That hurt" He winced, holding a hand to his chest in mock hurt.
"Suck it up, princess" I smiled angelically before squealing down the stairs, thanks to Niall's idea of racing after me.
"Don't eat me" I begged as he caught me around the waist just as I was leaping into Jason's car, which I had successfully unlocked during the chase.
"Only if you say; Niall Horan is the best and you've never seen better" He smirked, his warm breath tickling my forehead.
"Fine....Niall Horan is the best and I've never seen better" I gushed like a crazy fan. Which I still might have been before I met him yesterday.
"That's better" He grinned as he sat next to me. I rolled my eyes slightly as I turned on the engine and put on the radio.
Go grease lightning, you're burning up the quarter mile
Go grease lightning, you're coasting through the heat lap trial
You are supreme, the chicks'll scream for grease lightningI sang along to the radio with Niall as we drove to the beach. I mean come on, Grease is the best movie ever, hands down.
"You like Grease?" Nial asked, sounding curious as the song ended.
"Love" I corrected, pressing my lips together so I wouldn't burst out laughing at the fact that I corrected him on something similar to my brother, just yesterday.
"Like Lou..." He said thoughtfully.
"Sure" I chuckled softly.
"Did I mention you have a great voice?" He said, half teasing and half serious.
"Yes...and I told you that it's truly horrid and to forget it. Which you said you will" I pointed out.
"Oh look..the beach!" He exclaimed, looking out the window, deliberately ignoring me. Jesus, fine.
"I know, it's beautiful" I agreed, turning off the engine and hopping out of the car.
"Like you" He grinned. I smiled back, unsure.
"Race you" I screamed as I sprinted into the ocean, kicking up white soft sand. I heard Niall's laugh dimly as I dove under the water.
"A singer, swimmer, Athletic, funny, beautiful...tell me, what aren't you?" Niall asked, ticking the list off his fingers as I lazily floated on my back with him.
"A dancer," I answered automatically. Dance and me always resulted to me hurting myself or anyone arond. Really, it's a shame. "And I told you that I can't sinng" I added, pretending to glare at him. And I'm not beautiful, I added in my head.
"Dance.." He muttered. "And for the record, you can sing. Don't lie"
"But I...hey, who are they?" I wondered, nodding my head in the direction of a crowd of people, nosily arriving at the beach with camera's and those furry stick things.
"Hmm who?" Niall said, looking up to the sky and smiling slightly, deep in thought.
"Them." I repeated, splashing water in their direction "Oooh maybe they're camera people and they're going to film something here...we should casually swim towards them so maybe we could be an extra" I rambled on excitedly, already starting to swim towards them.
"Aha, wow Hailey, that's such a," Niall started, chuckling softly to himself as he turned towards them "bad idea" He finished, eyes widening in shock.
"What? Don't you want to be in on TV?" I questioned, a little hurt at his exclamation of my bad idea.
"Damnit. I thought they'd be at the hotel...stalkers" He scoffed to himself, though he still looked amused.
"What are you talking about?"
"Paparazzi, they're paparazzi, not a film crew" He explained, occasionally ducking under waves to dodge their suspicious glances.
"What are we going to do?" I asked, panicing slightly.
"You're going to casually swim back to shore, and wait for me in the car. While I somehow get around them..." He said, sounding unsure on how to get around them without them noticing.
"Oh wait, I've got an idea!" I piped up, grinning to myself.
"Which is?"
"Wait and see. Just, a quick tip, keep close to shore" I quickly swam back to shore, making sure I was near the paparazzi.
"Oh my gosh! Are you guys paparazzi?" I gushed, running towards them, with wide eyes. One of them turned to me, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes...Have you seen One Direction?" He said rudely, narrowing his eyes.
"Obviously, omg, have you seen Harry's new hair? Totally Vogue" I said loudly, now aware that everyone was turned towards me, looking interested.
"Which way?" The same guy said quickly, lifting his camera.
"Uh..OMG, BEHIND YOU" I yelled, jumping up and down in fake excitement. They all immediately turned behind the, cameras flashing, before they even glanced at who they were taking photos of.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a certain blonde guy leap out of the water and run into the car, giving me a thumbs up, grinning. I skipped back to the car, smirking at the thought of the poor old man and his family as the paparazzi shot pictures of them, as they casually read a picture book out loud.
Not my best chapter. But whatever. HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY LOU AND JADE!!!! HOPE YOU ALL HAD A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!
