The night was perfect. A bright moon was swimming on the cold lake, it's light distorted on the water. It barely rippled besides the sleek yacht that slid over the water. It's sail was limp like a dead bird, sweeping the polished wooden deck.
Everything was perfect. A pair of sun chairs sat on the deck, their owners absent. From a window, yellow light shown onto the deck, lighting it up. Inside the cabin was a kitchen. Unlike the rest of the yacht, it was a mess. The rosewood cabinets were scratched and torn from their hinges. Cans and produce were spilled across the tiled floor, dented and smashed. The fridge was open, spilling frosty air into the room. A red splatter was on the cabinets, streaking across the entire kitchen. The back door was wide open, leading into the night.
No, not everything was perfect.
A boy stood out by the ocean, a broken wine bottle in his hand. Red on his hands. Staring out to the ocean. Far away, a girl was floating on the icy lake. She bobbed for a moment, before disappearing under the water.
No, nothing was perfect. Everything was wrong. Everything.
The boy witnessing the scene turned around and ran back inside. Through the kitchen. Down the stairs. Into the bedroom. Under the covers. There he shivered in total shock of what he had seen. He squeezed his wrist, trying to wake up out of this nightmare.
"Shit, shit, shit!" He whispered to himself, squeezing harder to the point he bled. Fighting back tears, he pulled his hand away. It came off red. "It did happen... I was right. I never should've let Aquarius be with my brother. Every one of his exes ends up the same way. Dead."

Deep, dark water was closing in on the girl, flowing into her lungs faster as the surface became a distant memory. She reached out a weak hand towards the sky, but it was futile. Blood loss had her head spinning, and her eyes stung from the effort.
Aquarius gave in, letting the inky darkness wrap its way around her. Her jet black hair waved around her like a sea creature, waiting to drag her down. She closed her eyes, and let her thoughts take over.

"Aquarius? That's a funny name!" Aquarius opened her eyes at the call of her name to see a boy no older than six with white blonde hair staring at another little girl. She was about the same age, with dark hair, pale skin and big, blue eyes.
The girl was her, or at least a younger version.
Looking around, Aquarius realized she was at her old school, out on the miniature playground that had once seemed so big. But everything seemed washed of color, except for herself. Scowling with confusion, she turned back to the conversation.
Young Aquarius made a frown, staring back at the other child darkly. "Well Gemini is a weird name too!" She shot back, a classic kindergarten insult. Aquarius resisted the urge to interfere, when she realized that they hadn't even noticed her.
Could they even see her? She stepped in between the two, but they stared through her like she was a ghost. Maybe she was.
"Well then," replied Gemini, smiling a mouth full of baby teeth, "we can have weird names together!"
Little Aquarius tentatively took his hand before nodding. "I would like that."
