707 x Reader - Highschool AU

First day

Author's Note: Hello everyone! There is not much you need to know about the story before you read it, however, I'll note that you are 606 (Six) in this story. B.V. stands for Boss Vanderwood.

Six woke up to the sound of her alarm clock, sighing to herself. She didn't want to get up. Looking at the time, she groaned. 7:15. She forced herself out of bed, not realizing how late it had gotten. At this rate, she was going to be late for school. She knew why she was sluggish this morning. This again. New school, new identity, more assignments, but work is work. She rushed, brushing her teeth and hair at the same time. It was the first day of school, might as well look presentable. Good thing that the school was a five minute walk, a two minute run. Six ran down the stairs, grabbing her bag on the way out. Her only friend, Yoosung, lived a bit farther down. Yoosung was the only friend that's she's had since childhood. With her job, she's not supposed to have friends, but she made an exception for him. Which means she had to be a lot more careful about what she said to and around him. Yoosung had left a lot earlier than Six had. He was already down the block by the time Six had left her house. She ran all the way to him, not the type to scream for him to stop. He was a junior, and Six told him she was a sophomore. She pulled on his backpack, causing him to take a few steps backwards and the opposite happened for Six, she went a few steps forward. They stayed silent until their pace was even and together.

"Hey hey hey!"
"Hello Yoosung."
"Such a formal greeting, Six."
It's funny to Six when Yoosung calls her that. When they first met, and she said her name was Six, Yoosung had stared at her. He told her from then on, he would call her Saturn. It is the sixth planet from the Sun, and it sounds a lot more human. He also made puppy eyes and said 'well the saying goes if you like it then you should have put a ring on it. So I did!' when she asked why. That was what got Six into looking into space more. Yoosung pretty much called her Saturn all the time, except when it was early in the morning and/ or Yoosung got no sleep.
"Sorry..."
"Is someone nervous for their first day?"
Six wasn't nervous about this being her first day, but this is the first time she's actually gone to school with Yoosung. Which makes it easier to slip.
"Shut up," she responded, pushing his shoulder lightly. He laughed at her, but he was just glad they could see each other more.
"Is 'are you ready for this day' a better question?"
Six rolled her eyes, her lips turning up lightly into a smile.
"I guess. I took a lot of difficult classes."
"Ah yes, my smartest friend."
"Just cause I'm taking difficult classes does not make me smart, you pop-tart."
"I guess you think I'm tasty."
"No, stale," they both laughed. "I'm just worried about my boss freaking out over my classes."
"Your boss?"
"Just because you say it as a question, does not mean I will say anything. Never have. Never will."
"Come onnnnn. You should tell me something! I'm your best friend, and I don't even know where you work."
Six ran a hand through her hair. She really felt bad about always keeping things from him. They've been friends for years, and she never told him anything. The last time she got seriously hurt on the job, she didn't even tell him,  just said she had the flu and he could not see her for a week or two. Just the amount of time to heal enough to look normal.
"Where's room 415"
"Ha. Nice left turn, Ms. Change-the-conversation. Coincidentally, it's right here."
"Thanks Yoosung, see you later?"
"Of course! See you at lunch."
Six nodded at him and then turned into her first period class. It was Ap Statistics. Not the worst class she could have first. Since it was her first day, she just sat at the closest available seat. This ended up being next to a red head with cute glasses. He looked at her while she messed with her phone.
B.V- When are you going to be done hacking that server?
606- I'm at school today dude. Don't you remember
B. V- Don't make me take out my taser. 
606- ha ha plz no. I'll finish later when I get home. It's a light hw day.
B. V- Good.
The red head noticed that the girl was bitting her lip. A small gesture. This guy seriously asked for too much from her before eight am. The male sitting next to her didn't know who she texted since the screen was dark. He was slightly concerned and curious about who she texted and what they said.
"Hey, everything okay?"
"Uh yeah? Why wouldn't it be?"
"Oh, just your demeanor changed when you were texting."
Interesting. The only person to notice that, ever before, was Yoosung, because he knew her and her quirks. She raised an eyebrow at this new person.
"You notice a lot more than you lead on, so you have probably worked or have been somewhere where you had to pay extreme attention or you, someone, or something could get hurt. Am I wrong?"
She propped her head on the back of her hand as she looked him in the eye. The male's eyes widened slightly. She got that just by his one statement??
"No, you are not. How did you get that from one statement?"
"Well the instant you said you noticed my demeanor change. The only thing I did was bite my lip slightly, which meant that you had to be paying attention to notice it. Also my friend of many years didn't learn how to notice small things I did until recently, so you two differ."
He now just wanted to change the topic. He was being too easily read for his liking.
"Does your friend go to this school?"
"Yes."
"Are you going to tell me anything about them?"
"When the time comes. You and I have just met."
The teacher finally walked into the classroom. It seemed like a long time since Six had walked in, but in actuality it wasn't.
"Good morning class, I'm Mr. Johnson. I'm going to take attendance."
He already had the attendance open, he just had to call the names.
"Simon"
"Here"
"Luciel"
"Here" said the red head. Six looked at him wide eyed for a split second, then looked away. Red hair, interesting glasses, smart. This Luciel is probably the one Yoosung always told her about. Now would be a great time to remember what he told her about him. Something about wanting to be a computer science major, genius, funny, a number (?), protects files. She tried to remember more but it was blurring since there were four guys he talked about. Six had zoned out long enough to zone back in when Mr. Johnson said her code name.
"Alice"
"Here"
He continued on with attendance, Six not really paying attention. She didn't even notice when he said work with partners. Six was just doodling away on the side of her paper.
"Hey Alice."
No response. Six wasn't used to that name so it took her a second to realize she was not responding to her 'name'. She realized this after she sensed this 'Luciel' was looking at her. She looked up and tilted her head slightly.
"Were you homeschooled before this?"
"Ah, no. Why?"
"You didn't respond to your name. We are gonna be partners for class, okay?"
"I'm just... not used to people talking to me, I guess, but yes okay. Partners for class."
The best lie she could come up with on the spot and it wasn't even good. She wanted to try to remember some of the things Yoosung said to her about him, but the work was keeping her focused on math.
Once the bell rang, they both put their stuff away in silence. There wasn't much to talk about anyways. Both had the same class next, so Six sheepishly followed behind him.
"Hey Alice, you can call me Seven, by the way. That's what all my friends call me," he said as they walked into the class. So that's the number he was.
"And my friend calls me Six, which is what I'd prefer to Alice."
After that class, it was lunch. She walked towards what she assumed was the lunch area. She noticed she was following the red head... again. Is he going to sit with Yoosung?
"Hey Alice are you stocking me?"
"I told you I preferred Six to my real name."
"Okay, Six, are you stocking me?"
"... no I'm just going to sit with my friend."
He looked her up and down. He continued walking towards lunch, so it made a pretty awkward silence as they both sat at the same table, Six next to Yoosung, and Seven in front of him.
"Hey hey Six!"
Six raised an eyebrow at him, not calling her by his nickname. It took her a second to realize that was probably because he talked about her to Luciel. He probably did not want to say it was her yet.
"Hi hi Yoosung, how was your day?"
"It's been great, yours?"
"Pretty nice."
"So Yoosung is this 'only friend' of yours, Six?"
Yoosung gave a laugh, putting an arm around her shoulder.
"Yep! The one and only!"
Before Six had a chance to say anything, three others sat at the table. She turned to Yoosung, then whispered in his ear, "are these the people you always talk about?"
Yoosung grinned at her, giving her the answer instantly.
"Guys, this is the girl I always talk about. Meet Saturn!" He said this as he dramatically pointed at her. So he does call me Saturn around his friends, how cute.
"Wait this is Saturn?" Seven had questioned, but Six gave him a look to hopefully give him a hint not to say Alice.
"Yes! Isn't she everything I described!"
Everyone looked completely shocked. Not a surprise, Yoosung never showed pictures of her. He didn't have any. They always seemed to disappear. She didn't like how everyone was staring at her, so she looked at her phone
B. V- Are you at lunch?
606- yeah
B. V-  Do something quick for me?
606- what
B. V- It'll take like twenty minutes. Hack into C&R server to see what business ideas are coming up.
606- not enough time
B. V- You are one of my two fastest hackers. You have the time.
606- who's the other
B. V- He is agent 707.
She looked up again and forced a small smile. She looked at Seven once more then quickly typed:
606- I'll do it when I get home something important came up. Like need to do now or else die kind of thing. Don't bug me for at least five min
B. V- Fine. Clock's ticking.
Six already had the intuition of who this red head was, and now knowing they worked together wasn't great. She was very tense, them looking at her didn't help much.
"Hey Saturn, are you okay," Yoosung asked quietly. 
"Yeah? Anyway shouldn't you introduce your friends even though..." she trailed off. He got the gist though. In order from where they were sitting it was Six, Yoosung, and Jumin on one side and Seven, Jaehee, and Zen on the other.
After hearing their names, Six decided to say, "how's Elly doing, Jumin?"she winked slightly at the name Seven had given her.
"So you do know some things about us. She is well."
Six's phone vibrated from a text message. She realized it has been five minutes. Seven looked at her phone slightly, since it rang at the same time as his.
*~Group chat~*
606- I swear to god I will kill you. Vanderwood why would you add me into the horror of a group chat
707- yeah Mary who is this
B. V- 707 this is 606 and 606 this is 707
Seven spilt his drink slightly as Six sighed. They both made eye contact at the same time.
"Seven lol" Zen said, even though to Six and Seven there was no one else at this table in that moment. Seven just had to be sure that it was really the girl in front of him.
"Saturn," he said choosing the name wisely, "by any chance do you go by the name 606?"
Six bit her lip, she was debating on saying yes or no but he would figure it out either way, it'd be just a matter of time.
"Well I mean I go by Six for short,"she rolled her eyes, "obviously, 707"
He nodded his head as they both went back to their phones.
B. V- You guys need to hack into an organization. 
B.V- Called Mint Eye.
B. V- But Six finish the earlier assignment first. 
606- I guess but why are we working together. I mean mainly why us
707- yeah
B. V- because you are in the same grade
707- and same classes
Six didn't like how Vanderwood said the same grade thing. She told Yoosung she was a sophomore, so that's probably what he told everyone at the table. For the time being, it seemed to slip by Seven.
606- ... okay
B. V- I want you both to meet at Seven's today after school
606- you legit just said to finish my previous assignment first.
B. V- Do it now like I said
606- ugh. I guess I guess.
707- what assignment
606- classified
With that, she put her phone down and started hacking.
