Yuniku Far's POV: Strange New People

"Kimyona Maindo Fars. Where were you last night?" I asked my brother. He was brushing his teeth and he shrugged.

"You promised to play C.O.D with me." I said with my hand on my hip. He picked up floss and started flossing his teeth. When the floss broke for the tenth time he quietly cursed at his fangs.

"I hate these things." He said.

"Blame Lakin." I said.

"I bet mom liked her fangs. Remember that Alternian we met at the Zoo?" Kim asked.

"Yeah, I offered them a lemon popsicle and they said they can only eat meat, and how its a genetic thing." I said.

"Yeah, Nana never ate in front of us, but she did show us her second layer of fangs. My guess is they needed fangs to eat meat. And check this out Yuni." He said opening his mouth and pointing to a tooth two teeth away from his fangs. The tooth looked ready to fall out, and so did the one on the opposite side of his mouth.

"Second layer of fangs coming in huh?" I asked smiling.

"I think so. They've been annoying me, its like they're being forced from my mouth." He said attempting to floss again.

"I blame puberty." I said. He was startled by my comment and caught the floss in his teeth. He laughed awkwardly and I smiled at my goofy brother. I looked at myself in the mirror and my hair was a mess. Just like dad my hair has a mind of its own. Kim's straight hair is flawless when he wakes up and mines a hot mess. I grabbed a hair brush and struggled through my hair.

"You should get a hair cut. Like the hair we had when we were kids." Kim said.

"Yeah no, Ill look like Angel." I laughed.

"No you wont, you hide your green eye." Kim pointed out. I stopped brushing for a second. I hate my green eye. It is so noticeable in a room. Kim learned how to control his light blue eyes glow, so his eyes don't stand out as much as mine. I only show my dark blue eye. In a way, it makes me feel more connected to Kim and dad. We all have a dark blue eye. My green eye makes me feel alienated, even though its the same color as Nana's. Kim loves my green eye, he says it makes me special. I'm special enough with my devil horns and dramatic hair. A figure appeared behind me, it isn't anyone known to the household.

"Yuni!" Kim screamed. I used my leg to hook around the legs of the figure, I turned and the person fell. Kim jumped on top of the figure and pinned them down and I moved my leg from under them. I stood up and looked at the person we just pinned down.

"Zendella Heartstrings." Kim said her name. She was wearing all black, her sweat shirt had a grey strip down the middle like Lamar's shirts do, but his are normally green and white. Her hair was all black and so was her eyes. Her hair was to her shoulders.

"Isn't she the one who killed Lakin?" I asked.

"Yeah, this weakling killed her." Kim said.

"Please don't call me a weakling, the voices in my head already do that." Zendella said laughing at herself.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"T-To help Fred. I heard about what happened. I was his friend once, and I still care about him. I just, want to help him. Once he's back safe, I'll leave for good. I promise." Her voice said shakily. Why is she so scared? I snapped my fingers indicating what Kim needed to find out. His face got closer to Zendella.

"H-Hey! C-Can I be free please?" Zendella asked.

"You killed a Alternian, a race which terrifies half of Asuaulia. How did you do it?" I asked.
