I woke up to loud banging. Apparently the door was jammed. I shut my eyes tightly to escape the ringing in my ears. Somehow, it helped. But it didn't help to only see black. Was it part of the test? To not see? My eyes were swollen And felt bruised. Possibly sore. The door swung open and footsteps approached. I held my breath. "Miss Lilyrian, we will be running a few more tests and then we will begin. I'm shocked you survived. Others,....well, let's just say they weren't as interesting." I felt my arm shoot in sudden pain, probably a shot. I calmed my nerves, and felt a warm fuzzy bandage lay over were the shot took place. They took temp, regular tests. Then they opened my eye. I shrieked and struggled to get out of the straps. They tried to calm me down, tightening them. They shined a small flashlight in my left eye, and then the right eye. I heard writing. They soon left me be and walked away. I assume they were typing on the computer. They whispered things to each other, and then laughed. "Does the Professor know about this?" One asked. "Unfortunately, no. Let's keep it that way." The other replied. I could hear them walking back over to me. "Its time." I wanted to cry, but I had already shed all my tears. I wanted to scream, but my throat ached. My breath slowed. What was going to happen this time? I prepared for more pain. But then i heard a click. My waist lifted and I could breathe easier. There was 2 more snaps. I was able to move my ankles and feet again. I bent them, and I felt how still they were. I was cold. And numb. Then after a few more clicks, I moved my arms and head. I wanted to cry once more. I was free. I could move around, and I wasn't strapped to that table. But....I still couldn't see. I looked around, but there was only black. Then i realized the people were still here with me. "Go ahead. Stand up." I slid off the side and straightened. I almost immediately fell over. I hadn't used my legs at all in a long time. I was trembling, holding onto the table for support. I took one step and collapsed. The people picked me up and gave me something. They were crutches. At least I think. I didn't have a lot of strength in my arms, but I managed to take a couple steps without the others help. They led me out of the room. Would I go free? Could I see my family? I guessed not. I didn't even know my family. I don't even know what they look like. I only know one thing. My mom was Inversian, and my dad was a mix of Ecoversian and Stratsoversian. I know nothing else. They pulled me into another room. I wish I could describe it to you, but do you really think I could in this condition? They took the crutches away, and I almost, nearly fell over. They walked out of the room, leaving me alone. I couldn't tell how big it was, but when I heard their voices on a loud speaker, It echoed. It was a huge empty room. They were watching somehow. "Your test is to survive. When you are injured, or in need of help, how would you defend yourself? You can not see your opponent. We want to see and test your magic. Inversians rarely have any, while Stratsoverisians don't need hats, nor wands. Your choice. Live or die." I had never used magic before. What if I couldn't do it? Was I going to die? I want to go home. I don't want to be here. I heard a gate open. It creaked loudly. Footsteps approached along with growling. What was here? Why did I have to do this? I was terrified. Buzzing filled the air. I turned around, knowing I wouldn't see anything, but I still could hear. I came from my left. Pounding, the ground shook. It came closer and closer. Some thing had spotted me and was running towards me. I ran to my side taking cover. The beast had missed me just barely. I shook, struggling to keep my balance. It clamped it's jaws open and closed loudly. I imagined saliva everywhere. It reaked too. It came sprinting towards my direction again. My stomach felt like I was being scooped clean. I was thrown into a wall hearing something crack. "What a disappointment." The speakers blared. Now I was irritated. The monster rushed towards me once more and I screamed, thrusting my hand into the air. The monster roared, crying and begging for mercy. It didn't attack me. What did I do? I squeezed my hand into a fist. It coughed and coughed. Was it choking? I then turned my hand over. I heard cracks and Pops. Disgusting. The speakers were silent. It was very quiet besides the shouts of my opponent. Then I heard it. The monster in front of me. The silence. I stared off into the distance. What....happened? Was, WAS it dead!? The speakers came on. "F1, requesting backup. We got to get this place cleaned up BADLY. Take her to the next room. The test is settled. Quicker than I suspected, but take her to the Shock room. Dear God, don't let anyone see her or this..." Then they shut it off. I stood still. What happened!?!??!?! Multiple doors opened. A assume they were men. They picked me up, startling me. They carried me somewhere, but i I don't know where. This so called Shock room? Who knows. But I hated it. Because once again, here I was strapped down.
