James POV

"James?! I thought kicking you out of our...my clan was a big enough hint to let you know I didn't want to speak to you anymore!" Jack yelled over the phone.

He was mad as hell, and I figured he would be. When I first met Steff I instantly fell in love with her. Jack has nothing against me dating her. Its the fact that I've kept the truth from her.

Jack told me to tell her what I really was, a werewolf. And if she truly loved me, that wouldn't matter to her, and she would stay. But I couldn't, I was too afraid. I thought that if I told her she would leave and refuse my affections.

Jack told me I was no man or wolf and kicked my out of what used to be our clan, now his. I've never spoken to him or anyone in the clan since then. And that was 4 years ago.

"Please Jack, I know you hate me. But it's Steff, she's trouble." I pleaded with him. He may hate me but he loved Steff like a sister.

"What do you mean she's in trouble?" I could tell he was concerned.

"Its Damien, he's back. And he took her." I said.

"What! You let him get a hold of her?! You idiot!" Jack yelled. I deserved that title, idiot, was exactly was what I was for letting Steff out of my sight.

I may not be with her 24/7 but I was always close by watching and making sure she was safe. But I've fucked up and I could lose her forever now.

"I know...I just need your help! Please, I'm running out of time!" I shouted. I couldn't argue with him any longer.

If I know Damien he's already bitten her and started the process of her change. That gave me just barely an hour mabey two before it would be complete and iriversable. Then she would be a vampire forever.

"Fine! But this is for Steff not for you. I'd hate to see her lose her life because of your ignorance to tell her the truth. I'm bringing Neal and Keith along with me to help out. We'll be there shortly." Jack hung up and so did I.

If Steff dies because of me...I'll never forgive myself.
