My older sister came home today, she's 13, she just returned from boarding school in London. She's all polite and proper, of course. Her name by the way is Rachel. Rachel is mother and father's favorite child, just because she hasn't killed anyone (that we know of). Rachel is very beautiful though. I got to see her from my window. She has the most beautiful blonde hair and a gorgeous smile that can make anybody who's in a bad mood feel better. She left for boarding school when she was five, right before I was born. This could be the first time i would get to meet her, if mother and father let me out of my room. I sit on my bed dressed in my Sunday clothes, awaiting mother to come in with a sermon for me. But instead of it being mother, it was Rachel. "Hello dear sister. It's a pleasure to meet you." She was happy to meet me? I just smiled and nodded, afraid that if i got too close to her the voices would start talking to me again. "Hello Rachel, it's a pleasure to see someone other than mother and father." I tried to sound happy, but in real life i was terrified. Rachel did not seemed worried at all about what mother and father had told her about me. And i know that they told her. She walked right over to my bed and sat down beside me. "do you want to read today or shall I read?" She looked at me and smiled. How can she be so calm when everyone else is afraid to even enter my room. "I can read if you would like me too." She handed me the bible and pointed to the verse for me to read. This was the most incredible thing I've experienced, love. She didn't cower away from me if i got mad about a word i did not know. she helped me understand it. "That's alright Victoria, some of these words are hard for me to figure out too." Her smile was contagious, Eventually i was smiling with her. We sat in my room, laughing and talking for hours. Then came the serious talk. "Victoria, is it true?" I frowned, hoping for once that somebody wouldn't bring up the past. "yes it is true. but it was 2 years ago, and i feel terrible about it." She hugged me, it was the first hug I've had in years. "I know you didn't mean to Vicky but mother and father are scared of you now." No sooner she said that mother entered my room, with my dinner. Rachel hugged me again and left, locking the door behind her. I don't know when i will see her again.
