Hellooooooo :)

It's been two long years since Camping With the Jerk was last updated. I was planning on forgetting it ever even existed until recently, when I noticed the amount of attention the book was still getting.

It's unfair to leave it the way it is, so I'm going to be answering some questions that have come up in comments, inbox, etc.

Feel free to leave more questions and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability.

Also, if you're not interested in any of that, I'm putting what should have been the next chapter in the book down below. It's incomplete and doesn't do anything for the plot, but it's still got the original author's note! That's...something. Right?

Anywhoozles. Let's go.

1.) Is CWtJ finished?

Not even close. I was 13/14, I believe, when I first started writing it and I had no idea how to construct a good plotline and characters, let alone follow along with my sorry excuse of an outline.

2.) Will you be updating any time soon?

Nope! Never ever ever. However, I do think there's hope for a re-write. Plot changes, character development, depth...all that good stuff.

3.) Does this mean there will be a re-write?

I'm not making any promises yet, but...I do want to get back into writing. Maybe I'll come back to this, maybe I'll start something new. I'm sorry!

4.) This is the worst. You suck.

Not a question, but I do understand that A LOT of people may feel this way. The title makes me cringe, the characters are so 2-dimensional, and is the word 'originality' even in my vocabulary? I mean, damn. Get it together, author lady.

In all seriousness, there is so much not right with what I've done to this story that it would just be easier to scrap it and start over. You feel me?

That's all the important stuff. Again, feel free to ask me anything.

And thank you to my readers, both old and new. You guys are amazing. I'm looking forward to getting to know you individually, now that I'm back.

Thanks again <3
Here's the 'last' almost-chapter. Enjoy.

Author's Note: Why do I have so many reads now? Last I checked, it was...14000? We're at 33,000 reads, guys! Thank you all :)

In other news...YES. I have been writing in my absence. I've got a fantasy series rolling pretty smoothly, a Paranormal Romance that's looking...blurgh...and two other novels I'm afraid to post :P Just letting you know. So if I upload a brand new story, you should check it out.  -shrugs-

Read on.

When I woke up in the morning, the sun was shining bright and hot, making the cabin seem too stuffy--the air too unbreatheable. For a long, foggy-minded moment, I looked around blankly at the walls of my cabin in confusion.

I didn't remember getting up last night, let alone moving from Colton's bed to my own.

An uneasy sound slid past my dry lips as I struggled to sit up. I remembered the previous night in snippets--from Colton's persistent questioning to his playfulness before I finally drifted off. After that, I drew blank.

"Jess?" a groggy voice broke into the silence. "Jessie, Is that you?"

I cleared my throat, only realizing then that I hadn't seen any of my roommates since yesterday morning.

(update 12/16/14: where am i even going with this? ugh.)

(05/09/15: EW. STAHP. REWRITE.)

(05/13/15: change of plans. scrap it. throw it away. grind it to bits and pretend you're better than this monstrosity you've created.)
