They're Real

Still here.

Night comes.

They say its time to sleep.
But just as I lay on my bed.
My demons start to creep
They run deep in my head.
Shivers run down my spine,
As my body entwines
With the cold of the night.
I try to shut my eyes tight.
But its darker in there,
That place where...

my soul were.

I tried telling someone
But no one would listen.
They say don't be silly
You're just a little dizzy.

Imagine you're me.

Alone with your thoughts.
Confused, and you're lost.
Alone with the monsters within
They stare and they grin
They attack and they win.

Imagine that's you.

Every tick of the clock
Every second they struck
They don't stop.
You scream "That's Enough!"
They just laugh.

The people around you
They said you could trust them
They said they'd support you
Where's the support now then?
They leave you to rot
to fester, decay.
They said they'd believe you but
Those demons aren't real they say.

You're young its just you're imagination.
A creative art of fiction.
Craving for attention.
You're just a kid,
Invent stories was all that you did.
So that you'll be noticed and praised.
But guess what, we're not amazed.
Just stop all this nonsense
Go do your assignment,
Your homework, your chores.
They're more productive.

"Of course."

Of course you wont believe me.
You probably think that I'm crazy.
All these demons, their lies just my stories.
You probably think that there's nothing.
That my mind is just playing.
You're probably right.
I'm just saying.
But trust me if you knew the feeling,

You wouldn't last a second

You'd be running.

But me?

Well I'm still here.
