Its been a week since Louis' surgery, and normally he wouldn't have to stay so long after a surgery, but there has been a few minor hiccups, which of course made the doctors take percussions on when they were going to release Louis from the hospital.

Either way, today was the day, Louis was going to be released. Harry was a bit sad with the whole process, he was really going to miss Louis, he was going to miss visiting him everyday, it gave him something to look forward to, and if he was being honest, Louis made work not feel so lonely.

"So, Louis is ready to be checked out then?" Harry looked over his shoulder to see a man, who he could only assume was Louis' ride home, was there to pick him up.

Harry was about to answer when his name was called. He looked up from his charts to see Dr. Yang. "Mr. Tomlinson is able to be released now, a nurse is getting paperwork filed so in the meantime, would you go get him all ready to go?"

Harry nodded smiling at the women before making his way towards Louis' room.

The man knocked a few times before entering the the room. "Good news." Harry said, a bright smile playing on his face, "we can finally release you from the hospital, you can finally go home and not be cooped up here anymore."

"Thats good, you won't have to deal with my pain in the arse anymore," Louis chuckled.

"What? You're not a pain the the arse Lou, what makes you say that?"

"Well-"

"Don't answer that I don't want to know," Harry chuckled, walking over to the boy and helping him up and into the wheelchair.

When Louis was into the wheelchair, Harry pushed him out and into the hospital lobby, where the nurse doing his paperwork was waiting.

"Dr. Styles, there should be a car waiting for Mr. Tomlinson. When I'm done I'll take him down for you," she smiled at him, but Harry only frowned.

"I can get him," he told her, and after asking if he was sure, he nodded with a smile, and went back to get Louis.

He was stubborn about getting into the wheelchair, but once he was in Harry started rolling him outside. Harry had no doubt in his mind that he was going to see Louis again, but he was going to miss the man, he loved seeing him everyday. He loved the way his eyes crinkled when he smile, and he loved the small dimples in his cheeks. He loved his bright blue eyes. He admired everything about the man, he grew fond of him. He couldn't help but want to continue to see him every day.

"So, I guess this is it..." Harry began softly with a frown as they exited the hospital.

Louis chuckled, then looked back up at Harry with a slight smile, "Harry, love, I hope you know that this is not the last your going see of me, you are not getting away that easily." Louis said cheekily, a smile plastered onto his face.

The comment made Harry chuckle, as he continued to push Louis down the long, narrow pathway towards the car.

"You know Lou," Harry began softly. "You have really made work, really enjoyable. Not because you had these struggles, or because what you were diagnosed with was a challenge, but honestly it's just you in general. It's always been you, you're such an amazing person, and you have just made my life brighter than it's been for a while."

Louis let out a small laugh. Harry could just picture his smile and it only made him smile more.

"I could only same to you doctor, you've done so much more for me than you were even obligated to do. I'm still here, I'm still alive and I can't tell you how much that means to me," Louis reached back and placed his hand on Harry's on the back of the wheelchair.

"I promised you. I don't break promises," Harry said sweetly to the man.

He stopped the wheelchair once they reached the car that Louis was going home in. The man made his way around the wheelchair, softly reaching down and grabbing Louis' hands before pulling him up to his feet.

Louis just smiled and wrapped his arms around the doctor tightly. The man let out a sigh, before pulling away, his blue eyes meeting the bright green ones.

"C'mon, lets get you inside." Harry murmured, still holding onto Louis' hand.

Harry brought Louis over to the car and opened the door slightly, helping him into the car.

Harry glanced behind him and saw nobody, when he looked back at the man, he smiled and pecked him softly on the corner of his lips. It surprised Louis, but he let him keep his lips there, and reached up to wrap his arms around Harry's neck. "I don't want to leave you," Louis whispered slightly, his cheek pressed against Harry's shoulder.

"I'm not going anywhere, I'll always be here," he pulled away and looked at Louis before slightly caressing his cheek," I'll come see you again... I promise," Harry never broke his promises, one way or another they were going to see each other, and nothing was going to stop him.

A man appeared, who Harry instantly recognized, "You ready to go Louis?" he spoke, glancing down at the man.

Louis sighed but nodded, looking back up at Harry and waving, "Bye, Harry," he whispered. A faint smile on his lips. "Thank you for everything."

Harry smiled back, then looked back up at the man, "Take care, drive safely."

The man nodded, and closed the door, and walking over and getting himself into the drivers seat. The sound of the cars ignition starting was heard, and just like that Harry watched the car disappear down the road.

"Don't you worry," he mumbles to himself, sticking his hands into his pockets and strolling back down the pathway to the hospital.
