~Erza's Past~

Erza's P.O.V Age 14

It was another day at school, today I was worried... Levy was crying some of the day... She was so scared... She would not tell me why though...

Lucy had not been at school for the past week, I was worrying about her too.

I got snapped out of my thoughts when a paper got smacked on my desk by the teacher. I jumped, she just continued with passing out papers. I picked up my paper and looked at the score... Oh no how did I get a C+?! That can't be right! I should have gotten an A- at least. How did this happen?! Grandma and Grandpa will kill me!

My family is very strict about my grades... I wonder what harm they will give me today... I sighed.

Yes, I have a fear of failing, it's called atychiphobia. No one knows about it because if they did those people would make my life hell, laughing and making fun of me in many ways.

As soon as the bell rang, I got snapped out of my thoughts. I went to my locker and got my bag and headed home. I walks to and from school are always peaceful, no matter the weather.

As I got home, I heard the noise of my 3 older brothers in the living room, arguing about which of their girlfriend's breasts were bigger than the others. I sighed at them. They are absolute idiots.

"I'm home!" I shouted.

"Oh Erza." My grandmother had said.

"Y-Yes... Hello grandmother..." I mumbled.

"How were the papers you got back today?" She asked.

"T-The one I got back during the first classes were all A's..."

"And?"

"My last class, I got a C+..." I mumbled.

"..." My grandmother didn't say anything, instead she slapped me.

"Grandma lay off Erza!" My eldest brother yelled.

"She's a disgrace to Scarlet's!" Grandmother yelled. Tears were leaving my eyes. I quickly ran with my book bag up to my room. I locked the door went on my bed and sobbed.

"Why did Mom and Dad leave me?" I sobbed to myself.

"Yo are you alright?" Someone said. They were outside my room. Since when did someone care about me?

I opened the door to see my Uncle Carter.

"Hey Uncle Carter." I mumbled, I forgot he was staying with us for the day.

"Damn, what happened to your face?" He asked.

"I got a C+ on my Math classwork..." I mumbled.

"Oh and your Grandma did that...?" He asked.

"Yeah..." I whispered.

"This isn't safe for you anymore. Your grandparents harm you when you don't do anything wrong."

"Well what can I do?" I muttered, turning my gaze towards the window.

"You can stay with me and your Aunt Faith." He said. My eyes sparked a bit.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah we don't mind, and your parents wanted you to come stay with us at some point."

"Oh thank you!" I exclaimed. "I won't fail you I promise!" He chuckled a bit.

"I know you won't. I also want you to join our dojo." He said.

"Your dojo." My eyes sparkled.

"Yup."

"Oh thank you! Thank you!" I yelled.

I'm so sorry Levy, Lucy, but this is right for me...

-2 Weeks Later-

Once I finally got settled into my new home, my Uncle made me go to the school near here. I really don't want to go there, I won't have friends... The only friends I made at my old school were Levy and Lucy...

I was walking to school, it's strange, the walk was just as peaceful as it was at my old home...

"Yo. Can you move any faster?" Someone said. I turned around to see a boy with blue hair and a tattoo under his right eye. He looked... Cute? I don't know, I can't describe things.

I noticed as I was thinking to myself he was standing there with a strange expression.

"Am I not aloud to enjoy my walk?" I asked sternly.

"You can, but you take forever." He said, and rolled his eyes.

"You're rude." I said.

"Sorry about that." He said and started walking off. "See you around, Erza Scarlet."

"W-Wait!" I yelled.

"What?"

"How did you know my name?" I asked.

"I can read people like an open book." He said.

"What is your name?" I asked, trying to look annoyed.

"I'll give you a hint, Fernandes." And then he walked over to a school, different from the one I was going to.

I have a fear of failing, and I'll be terrified if I fail at figuring him out.
