Beep! Beeep! Beeeep! The droning sound of the alarm clock rang, signally time to awake. A light tan hand sluggishly slapped the clock to silence. Two long legs swept over the blue covers of the bed. Odin Edwards brushed his honey-colored hair out of his face, and rubbed his warm, chocolate eyes. He got up out of the bed and stretched. Odin quickly got dressed in his usual jeans and T-shirt. The boy grabbed his phone as he trudged out into the hall. Odin could hear his siblings and mom downstairs. He shook his head, grinning. Of course they were already awake. Odin thought, his freckles dancing as he smiled knowingly. Odin walked into the kitchen, the tile cold to his bare feet.
"Yes, you can go to the mall Alexa, but only if you clean your room." A lean woman said as she placed some scrambled eggs on the girl's plate. A young boy was also at the table scribbling on a paper with some crayons. "Issac, if you can color after breakfast," the lady sighed pushing a plate of pancakes in front of the youthful child.
"Hey Mom!" Odin exclaimed taking a seat at the wooden table.
"Oh, uh, hey sweetie." Mrs. Edwards replied, "I don't think I made enough pancakes. Are you ok with some cereal?" Odin nodded disappointedly. Odin knew his mom loved him, but he could not help feeling omitted.
Odin ate his his cereal and put the bowl in the sink. He glanced over at his mom and siblings wishing. What does my younger brother and older sister have that I do not?
Odin walked over to his backpack that was lying in the corner of the room. He pulled of his 7th Grade green 2-inch binder and flipped to the Social Studies tab. At least I enjoy something. Odin thought as he took out his Social Studies homework admirably. This specific homework was on the Middle Ages. Odin walked back over to the table and began to work on the homework assignment.Out of nowhere, Isaac grabbed the paper from under Odin's pencil and began to draw on it. Odin rose to Isaac and attempted to grab the paper. Isaac pulled back. Odin tugged and Isaac let go, right as the paper tore into two strips. Odin landed on his butt and groaned.
His sight began to swirl. It was a tornado of colors. Odin felt light headed as he fell on his back with a thud. The world then faded to black.
