My heart pounded in my chest. The sweet scent ,mixed with so many, caused the hair on my neck to rise. Melodies coursed through the dinning area for a calm and relaxation mood. And well, it worked.
I sat at one of the many red clothed tables. This place was so elegant. Crimson curtains that scattered about making it look almost like a theatre. The band that were on the stage dressed in such elegant clothing,. Classic if I had to give it a name. The sound of jazz sweeping through the entire area, but not to loudly. It was calming.
My body twisted all around in the chair. I was just so amazed at how everything was put together. It was just so fancy. I had been to places like this before, but never had I stayed too long. Places like such etiquette behaviors always bugged me. Well that was because I was the least etiquette person in this town, that being I was the son of the head of a great and noble company. But this place just made me want to stay.
From the corner of my eye I could see Eric. His elbows rested on the table. I followed from there. My eyes and head went up as I looked at his brawny arms. The veins poking out just a bit. Was he flexing? I couldn’t tell, but that was all right.
Soon enough my gaze met his. Of course he was staring at me. A smile placed on his face. I quickly changed my sight to the band.
“What?” Eric spoke, breaking the awkward silence. Though I was to busy looking all around the restaurant to notice the silence.
“Do I intrigue you? “ He said, dropping his arms to his lap. I shook my head now. He did kind of intrigue me. I wanted to know how he came to be in my bed.
“It’s not that you are on my mind in that way at all. I am just a bit confused on how you streaked into my life.” I crossed my arms and shifted my gaze to his chest. I did not want to stare him directly in the eyes. That would cause some more weird tension.
Chuckling Eric nodded. “I can see why you would question that.” His arms rose to his chest as they crossed. Is he copying me? I quickly unlocked my arms set them in my lap. Gripping the in between my legs.
“Your mother offered me the job and I took it. Of course I went through many qualifying tests to get the Okay. Clearly I did. And me being nude is because I don’t like sleeping in clothes.. I hate the heat. “ His eye’s narrowed. Was he trying to prove something by doing that? I guess I need to turn down the heat in my loft.
He went through qualifications and such. I wonder what type of tests. But like he said, he passed so he must be good. Oh! I needed to ask him an even more pressing question. Why do I need a bodyguard?
“I know what your next question your gonna ask. “What?! Is he a psychic or something? A telepath? “These muscles are just pure goals that I have accomplished.” He flexed forward, showing off his muscles. My, my my. That goal must have taken forward. But I guess he worked hard for those… Damn. Excited I am.
I chuckled, holding my body in place with the chair. Was he really going to be like this forever? I mean I don’t have a problem with it but he was still a stranger. A very good-looking one at that.
“That wasn’t my intended question. That would have been a later question, your know. Later on in the future.” I nodded once when speaking. “So there is a future with me in it?” He cut me off before I could speak more. Whoa! What does he mean by that?
