Chapter 5
Coffee beans, Jazz, and all other things that would feel a coffee shop were there. Little cliché’ for my tastes. But it was quite peaceful. Not to many people were there and those who were there are scattered about the shop.
The darkness that shrouded the place and the lights kept it alive. The band had it’s own corner, in which they played some soft jazz. Red curtains covered the windows all around. Black table clothes covered each and every table, big or small. This place was the most cliché’ coffee place ever. For now, I expect someone to read a poem or something.
“So how are you liking the Loco Mocha? “ Errol’s voice interrupted my thoughts. Turning my head from the people that just walked in, I looked at him.
This is Errol Raleigh Taegan Vaughn. He like’s coffee, dark colors, and having strange men bump into him. Plus his name is very . . . interesting. Also he is very handsome.
“For a shop named after something crazy, it sure is pleasant. So yea, I like it here. “ I gave him what he wanted to hear, which brought a smile on his face. Yes, he was very handsome. He was so handsome, which caused me to stare more often then what a normal stranger would want.He sort of reminds me of Eric, the calm, and cool, and collective attitude. I noticed it once we entered the place and he knew what to do. Getting us a table, asking for a waiter, and then getting our food. Like back at the restaurant Eric took me too. But this one was in fact a lot cheaper and it was filled with caffeine. In a way, I have my energy drink.
“Glad you like it. Most people don’t know where this place is. “ He said, which got me thinking of where it was. In an alley way from the public eye, so it would be hard to spot. You would just have to somehow be lucky enough to pass by, which was unlikely. Alley’s scare people way too much. Like me, they scared me a lot and now even more since what happened. Whoa. Wait.
What I was just thinking made me go into a deeper thought. What happened back at the resturant? I never asked Eric and it just seemed that it never happened. How in the world did I even live? This is odd . . . Why have I never thought about it this pass week and now of all places?
“Are you okay? If your face stays like that it will get stuck. It’s very unattractive. “ Errol’s words made my thoughts fade away. I began to rub my eyes. Apparently I was staring at some light in the room, which caused my eyesight to blur. I had to adjust to everything. Yet again.
“Coffee for your thoughts?” He had two cups in his hands. His arm extended across the table with one of them. How long was daydreaming? Well thinking. In a way it was a daydream. Never mind.
“Thanks. “ I grabbed the coffee and took a drink. Oh sweet, sweet Caffeine! I could feel the adrenaline creating it’s own raceway in my veins. Is that something I should be concerned for?
