It had been 3 days since the incident. The children were adjusting happily. However, Angela was still unconscious. The children had named her that. Because she was an Angel. A lot of children came forward, stating that they'd seen her, or known her, just before meeting Bishamon. The medical examiner was coming over that day to give a report about her condition. There was something about her that unsettled Kazuma. Whenever he felt that way, he would go check-in on her. And then he would find himself a closed quarter and jack off. "Why do you not like her, Kazuma? Or is it that you do like her that's the problem?", asked Bishamon. "Something about just riles me up. Makes me feel uncontrollable.", he replied. Bishamon giggled at his response. "Well, she's a woman. We don't know enough about what happened to her since then just yet. So let's just wait and see what happens.", she lay back down on her sofa. "I'm dreading.. seeing her past again.. It was hard the first time. And now I remember what happened. How she died. And her life before that.. She probably doesn't remember it now.. And I'm glad she doesn't. It's just..so sad.", she sighed, placing a hand on her forehead, hiding her eyes from Kazuma.

He didn't say a word. He remembered the first time the goddess had named Angela. She had just convinced her that she could have a good and happy family, where she could work all she wanted, because that's what she loved to do. And he had promised that he would be there too. That things would turn out just fine, and that she never had to be alone again. They'd even almost flirted. And when Bishamon had named her, she had cried, going through her past memories and life. Just as that had happened, before she could turn into her vessel form, she was taken in by a phantom. He had forced Bisha to revoke her name immediately, because it would blight her too fast and they couldn't risk it. He looked out the window. Everyone had a sob story. Two knocks on the door brought them back to reality. "Come in", called Bishamon. The M.E. (Medical Examiner) stepped in with his report. "Kazuma, Ma'am, I've reached a diagnosis with the patient named Angela." "Alright, then. Begin!", ordered Kazuma. "I think she was a phantom, just like Miss. Hiyori Iki is. She stayed out of her body too long, or her lifeline was cut off. One of the two. I don't think she just died like a normal person. It would also explain where she got her strength from. Also, it would seem she has been this way at least for a few years. She has been grotesquely cutting out her own blights, which has resulted in heavy scarring. Her current condition is her body recuperating after weeks of strenuous activity. She should be waking up any day now. I have taken a blood sample from her. It seems that she has a rare type, even amongst phantoms, or spirits. That's all I have for now.", he ended, bowing. "The part of her being a phantom. That part I knew. The rest.. So for all this time, she's been fighting.", whispered Bishamon. "I also found a book on her. It seems to be some sort of diary. But it's locked. It was inside her shirt, taped to her chest.", the M.E. said, holding out an old tattered notebook, with a pen dangling off it.  "Hmm. It seems like one of those old-fashioned ones. You need to speak its password to open it up.", Kazuma stated, holding and examining it. It had dried blood on it. "Anyway, thank you for everything M.E. Do let me know as soon as she makes any progress, or if there are any new developments.", he concluded. The M.E. nodded and bowed, both at him and at Bishamon, and walked out. "Why can't things just be simple some days?", he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. He needed to get to his room and relax. "You've been working really hard these past few days, Kazu! Take it easy! Let's organize a trip to the hot springs! Or Capypar Land! Something so that everyone can just be happy", Bisha said smiling at her oldest and most trusted comrade. "As you wish, Veena. Please call me as soon as you need something.", he bowed and walked out. As he turned the corridor, he felt a need. He hated his hormones for this. Of course spirits felt it too. But as long as they acted on it, and satisfied their desires, it wouldn't affect their master. He ducked into the men's toilet, and shut the cabin behind him. As he lowered his pants and took his shaft into his hand, he began to picture what he always had in these situations. Her. Her beautiful black hair, her big brown eyes staring at him with hope. With affection. Her gorgeously sexy and playful smile. The first time he'd met Angela, he knew he wanted her to be his mate. Ever shinki got to choose a mate, or multiple partners. So that they had someone to confide in. So that no one ever felt left out. So that they could each fulfill their own desires. Their house was very liberal in that manner. They didn't demand their house-mates to be of pure innocence. And that was all because of their kind master. As he came to a close, he bit down on his tongue to stop from huffing out too loudly. It was no secret that he didn't have a partner nor a mate. It wasn't for the lack of one either. He had been propositioned by many of the women and men in their house, but he didn't want to. He never had the desire to lay with any of them, nor speak with any of them. He knew most of them only wanted him because of how close he was with the Master. He cleaned up quickly, and his mind strayed back to Angela. He wanted to see her again. As he got out of his cubicle, he washed his face. "Hey Mr. Kazuma", called out of the spirits contracted to Bishamon "Hey", he replied, softly not looking at whoever it was. "Did you hear, the new girl apparently woke up?" "Yosh! How is she? Bet she's the bomb! We could use with a fresh face!", another chided in. "Well, apparently she was hysterical and insisted she'd died and gone to heaven—", he didn't wait to hear the rest. Kazuma dashed out and ran over to the medical wing. He needed to see her.

As he rounded the corner of the stairs leading to the ward where she was, he saw her. She was running up the stairs herself. The M.E. was huffing behind her, barely catching up. He followed her up the stairs and burst out on to the roof. She was standing at the edge and looking over .. well, everything. It was a beautiful sight to take in, and it was almost sunset anyway. Bishamon's little kingdom looked beautiful from this view here. He walked over to her and stood by her. "It's beautiful! Just like you said back then. ", she whispered. "Yea..", he replied, softly. In his fantasies, he'd bring her here. She looked just as beautiful as she did the first day he'd seen her. But she had more scars on her now. What had she been doing? Would she come back to them? Did she want to?  After a few minutes of silence, he cleared his throat."Ahem! We should go see Bishamon. She's been worried.", he said loudly. He needed to shake these feelings and memories off. Things weren't the same as they used to be. She started up and looked sharply at him. "I'm sorry.", she said softly. "I was rude before, wasn't I? It was just the heat of the moment.. It's not an excuse but, well.. I should apologize to her too." She said, looking away and tightening her grip on the railings in front of her. She sighed and gathered her hair back up behind her, tying it up in a loose knot on her head. "Let's.. go then.."
