She followed him back down to the ward first. He insisted having the M.E examine her one more time. As they reached him, Kazuma hear her slightly hiss at the doctor. "Just tell me what to do, and I'll tell you the results myself. I don't-- like it when anyone touches me.", she said, half apologetically, half scornfully. "That isn't how its done here.", Kazuma retorted. She'd have to learn to let her guard down and adjust to her surroundings at some time, if she was going to stay. If she was going to stay. She stared right at him and he stared back. Her eyes were still her eyes. Her beautiful brown eyes. He felt a yearning inside of him. He wanted to stare into them all day. "Don't worry girl. It's only a problem if it's a guy touching you, right? I understand.", the M.E. said, smiling and nodding at her. She looked back at him in shock, asking "How did you-?" "I'm an M.E. It's my job to understand. I've brought a lady friend to help instead.", he said gesturing at a nurse behind him. She looked back at Kazuma, and he couldn't help but keep his eyes on her. There was something in her eyes. "Ahem, Mr. Kazuma, if you would please excuse us.", the nurse said holding the door open, looking almost impatient, eyes darting between the M.E. and him. He felt someone drag him out of the room and it was only when the door slammed in his face that he'd realized it was the Doc. "She's a beauty huh, Kazumaaa-!", the doc teased, elbowing him. "Huh? Yea. Yea she is.", he muttered back. He felt light-headed. He wanted to stay there, watching her. He almost felt like she wanted him to stay there too. He couldn't help but imagine it. Her clothes falling off. Her soft skin under it. He wanted to bury his face into her, and smell her, hold her. Damn! He excused himself quickly and found himself dunking his head into a basin full of cold water. Ever since he'd met her again, he was acting like a teenager. He had to learn to control these urges. He felt no guilt over them, he forced himself to believe that they were pure feelings. This was how he'd made sure not to blight Bishamon. This was how everyone did it. As he walked back to her room, he noticed a small group assembling outside her door. The M.E. was by the door explaining and telling the group to back off before he introduced her. "Well, if she isn't a shinki yet, what is she doing here? And we just want to get a look at her. What's wrong with that? Does she think she's better than us?", the group kept asking. "What's going on here?", Kazuma asked loudly. Everyone had learnt to respect him and would never dare speak up against him. A perk he enjoyed. The group immediately quieted down. "Well, we wanted to say hi to her and ask her name and such, but the minute she saw all of us, she just locked herself up in the room and refuses to come out!", one man stated, stepping out. They weren't a bad bunch. They were just curious. "Well, she's new. And she just woke up in a strange room, with strange people, in a strange place she's never been before, with no memory of how she actually got there. And then a group of people basically attack her with a billion questions, just as she steps out. Tell me, how would you feel if you were in her shoes?", the M.E. asked out loudly.

The door opened behind him slowly, and Angel slowly stepped out. "What he said..", she mumbled quietly. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I was just startled." She sounded small. She even looked small. Her hair was back down, and she was hiding behind it. Was she scared? "The time for introductions will come later. Right now we have somewhere we need to go.", Kazuma said loudly, grabbing her hand and turning around, leading her away from the crowd. He heard a small gasp behind him. He didn't want the others to see her. He didn't want them to want her. Jealousy? Was that what he felt? He heard her cry out after a bit and turned around to look at what she was being noisy about. "Your holding me too tightly!", she said. He looked back down at her wrist to see a small bruise form over where his fingers were. His face went warm and he felt stupid. She seemed to notice and as soon as he let her wrist go she grabbed onto his hand. This surprised him. He looked back at her. She was not that short, just barely reaching up to his ears. She tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear, and he couldn't help but notice how cute she looked. She was flustered. "I can follow easier if you just hold my hand as opposed to you dragging me around you know.", she said again, quietly. "How are you capable of being so rude and brazen , and then soft and sweet?", he asked. Shit!

Why'd he say that out loud? Her face grew redder and warmer still at this honest question and she tried to yank her hand free from his. But he held on. No way was he letting go now. "Well, you had a problem with people touching you, but you don't have a problem with me, huh?", he said, more boldly. And then she looked up at him, and there it was. Her smile. "Let's just that I only have a problem with large groups of people or someone undressing me and looking at me like a piece of meat. It's a very different look from the one you're giving me right now.", she said, the corners of her lips rising slowly. "And how am I looking at you right now?", he asked, softly. It almost came out in a growl. He wasn't aware of how hard his breathing had got. He moved closer to her and she stepped back. Right until she was against a wall. It was a good thing that this corridor was always deserted. He did notice a hitch in her breath, and her chest rapidly heaving. "I don't know.. It's like you're yearning, ad confused, and you see something you want.", she said. He felt a squeeze from her hand, and he was pretty sure that if he wasn't controlling himself he'd have crushed hers. "That so..?" "Yea.." In his head this scene would progress with him smashing his lips against hers, arms around her waist and hitching her up against the wall with one leg wrapped around him. But it felt like an eternity was passing by them. He lowered himself slowly, against her, his eyes locked on hers. "And if that is true? If I do see someone that I want? What do you suggest my course of action be?", he whispered. If she resisted, he would pull back. But she didn't. "I suggest you come closer and let me demonstrate", she replied. Her voice was a little hoarse, from all the heavy breathing she was doing. Her eyes were half-open, and she leaned forward into him, knowing what she wanted. Almost. He would almost have her lips. Suddenly loud laughs was heard ringing through the corridors and he pulled away, immediately, stepping back. He snapped out of his jazz and looked around just in time to see a group of young ones running through. He felt her yank her hand out of his and when he turned around to face her, she was rubbing her face with her hands. He needed to calm down and so did she.

"Let's just keep going", he said almost running away from her. His face was hot. His body was hot. But it was good that they didn't kiss. Was it really? You do want her and from the looks of things she wants you. He shook his head as he slowed down and turned around to see her still behind him, but a few meters away from him. She was breathing down hard "Slow down!", she said, breathing raspy. "I just got out of the hospital. You can't be stressing me out this way already!", she exclaimed. She was swaying on the spot, holding herself, arms across her chest. That's right. She'd just recovered from weeks of fighting and malnutrition. He should be taking it slow with her. There was a lot to be done, and just because he was getting a day off didn't mean he could suddenly start doting on her. "Sorry", he muttered, adjusting his glasses and running his hand through his hair. He was acting like a teenager again. It pissed him off, how she could just throw him off. He started walking again and she followed, a little slower though. He didn't turn around and kept walking ahead in silence, passing by a couple of people here and there, only nodding at them. He kept going until he heard someone shout "Oy! You alright there?!", followed by a little thump. He turned and saw her on the floor, her hands supporting her in front of her. Something cracked inside of him. She got back up and shrugged slightly, embarrassed by the sudden attention. "I'm fine, sorry", she muttered, looking around. He wasn't sure what to do. He wanted to run over, scoop her in his arms and walk away fast. Away from the crowd. He started walking back towards her, but the crowd was slowly getting bigger. It wasn't anyone's fault. Everyone was just always excited when there was a new person who was added into the family. Her words came back to him, as he heard her struggling in the center. 'I only have a problem with large groups of people'. He had to get her out.
