~Part 3: Crazy Truth, or Not?~

~

"Me and Natsu are going out that day." She lied.

The playboy scoffed. "Your lying, aren't you?"

I didn't want Luce to date that playboy so I lied with her. "She's not lying. So back off, Loke." I put my arms around her waist and pull her close. I tried to act as if I was her boyfriend or something. "I can't believe you wouldn't trust someone you were asking out. If your not going to trust them, I highly suggest you don't ask them out at all." I still glared at him, but added a smirk to my face.

"Loke, he's kind of right.." says one of the boys behind him.

"Whatever. But if I find out that's not true, I'm taking Miss Heartfilia. Her father gave me full permission to even marry her." Loke crossed his arms.

"You can't do that!" Lucy yelled, her eyes nearly filling with tears.

"Yes, I can." Loke dug in his pocket and pulled out a tan sheet of paper. He showed it to me and Luce. After we examined it, he put it back into his pocket. "I didn't know your father cared about money more than his own daughter. Pretty rude of a father isn't it? Anyway, I gotta leave, food calls. See ya later." He and some of Lucy's fanboys walked off, the rest of the fanboys are hiding, stalking Luce. Man did I want to tear that playboys' face off.

 ~Lucy's POV~

A bell rang meaning it's lunch time. Natsu's stomach growled. "Man, I'm starving.."

"I packed an extra bento if you want it." I offered.

His face lit up like he was a little kid watching a firework show. "Bless this woman for being my savior, I thought I was going to die of starvation."

Weirdo.. "O-kay...? Lets eat outside. It's peaceful out there and no one can bother us." I grabbed his hand and dragged him outside of the school. We sat down near a cherry blossom tree. I put my hand in my bag and pulled out two bentos. I gave one to Natsu. He started eating it. I sat there, thinking of my past friends from my other school. I wonder what they're doing right now..

"Luce, how would you feel if I really did ask you out?" He asked, snapping me back into reality.

"I-I don't know, weird, I guess..?" I answered with a shrug. Actually, I'd be pretty happy..

He was about to say something else when we heard a squeal come from the inside of the school. We went inside to check it out. We got inside and we saw a clump of people fighting over a bottle of some unknown purple substance. Natsu went over to take the bottle away from them, I stood there like a statue. But then, the bottle went flying and was flying toward me.

The bottle broke open when it hit me. I looked down at my uniform and I was soaked. I felt and urging pain in my head and my back. Not the middle or upper part of my back, but the lower. Suddenly I could hear a lot better and smell a lot better too. The pain in my lower back an head, soon went away. I looked up and everyone was staring at me wide eyed. Even Natsu.

"Why are you guys looking at my like I just murdered someone?" All the color drained from my face.

"Luce... You might wanna look in a mirror.." Natsu said, looking at something on top of my head. I rushed to the end of the hall looking for a bathroom. I found one and went inside. I looked at myself in the mirror. There were a set of blonde cat ears on top of my head. I looked behind me and saw a tail as well. I lightly tug on the cat ears to see if they were real but, once I tugged on them, my head started hurting. So I guess they both are real..

I walk out of thee girl's bathroom and saw Natsu leaning on he wall with his arms crossed. The only difference about him was, HE HAD CAT EARS AND TAIL?!

"Natsu.. W-why do you have them too..?" I asked him and he sighed.

"Those stupid fangirls did it. They said we had to be the same since Mira ships us."

Even if the ears and tail are annoying as hell, they look cute on Natsu- NYA! Stop thinking that way, DAMMIT. Why does my life have to turn out like this...?

We were in one of the hallways. Natsu was staring out one of the windows. I look at Natsu's salmon colored tail and it twitched. I couldn't help myself so I touched his furry tail. His tail just twitched again and his face turned red. When he turned to face me, I felt the urge to feel his cat ears. And I did.

"L-Luce... Please stop. They're sensitive." He managed to say. I quickly took my hands away.

"Gomen." I apologized sheepishly. He did the same that I did to him. I felt pain in my head. Its felt like I had a migraine. "N-Natsu.. what are y-you.. doing..?" My eyes shut tightly.

"Pay back."

"St..op.." Tears were starting to form on the corners of my eyes. Once he saw a tear slide down my cheek, he let go of my cat ears and wiped the tear away. I opened my eyes and Natsu's face was still red. He looked away. I wanted to get the subject off of the ears and tail. "We should go look for Juvia now.."

He nodded in agreement. Me and Natsu tried sniffing out her scent. I followed the scent of the Ocean and it lead to a classroom. We went inside and found her sitting in a corner. She has a sad aura around her.

I leaned down. "Juvia, are you okay?" I put a hand on her shoulder and she turns around, facing me. Her face turned from sadness to surprised. My cat ears flattened. "I'll tell you about it later." She nods. "So how about we leave, It's already Twelve.. Wait, how will I tell my dad about THIS? He's allergic to cats." I sat in the corner.

"Juvia can tell dad Lucy's spending a few nights at a friends. And Lucy can be at Natsu's for a while?" She suggested and smirked.

He raises a brow. "I can call my mom to see if you can stay for a few nights." He shoves his hands in his pockets.

"I don't think she'd will allow me to, since they don't know me." I waved my hands in front of me trying to reject.

He chuckles. "She'd most likely say yes. Plus, my sister, Wendy, would want another girl in the house besides my mom."

"Okay fine. Do whatever." I crossed my arms and puffed up my cheeks, looking annoyed. Natsu took out his phone and typed in some numbers. He put his phone on speaker. Someone picked up the phone on the other side.

"Moshi, Moshi?" I heard someone say through the phone. She had a sweet voice.

"Wendy? Why do you have mom's phone?" He asked the little girl.

Crinkling sounds came from the phone. "Mom told me to pick up her phone since she had to get groceries into the car. Anyway, what did you need Natsu?" She asked in a sweeter voice.

His eyebrows scrunch together. "Can you ask mom if a friend could come over for a few nights?" He sighed.

"Yup. Just a second." We waited a few seconds and she came back with our answer. "Mom said yes. But is your friend a girl? I want to spend time with another girl besides mom, not saying moms bad but.. I need someone around my age."

Natsu looked at me. "Told ya so."

I looked back at him. "Never said you were wrong."
