Hermione opened her eyes to find a grey pair so close to her face she began to panic before realising that it was Draco. When he saw that she was awake he smiled, and Hermione returned one and noticed that she hadn't had any nightmares. Looking at Draco she saw that his bags were completely gone, and her smile deepened as she knew that he had sleep the whole night too.
"Morning Granger." He murmured in his husky voice that Hermione loved. She replied with a quick kiss. She tried to get up as she found it slightly awkward that she was in his bed, but he grabbed her around the waist and pulled her against him. His head rested on her shoulder as he hugged her and she felt so comfortable that she started to fall back to sleep. It was amazing that Draco had such a calming effect on her. For the first time in a very long time, she felt stress free and at ease. She wished she could lay there forever with Draco wrapped around her, but the nerdy part of her brain told her to get up otherwise they would be late to class, as they had slept in through breakfast.
"If you call me Granger, do I call you Malfoy?" She asked quietly.
"You can call me whatever you want." He said with his infamous arrogant smirk that made Hermione blush for some reason that she didn't understand.
"Okay then, Malfoy. I wanted to talk to you about something." His smirk dropped off his face as he heard the tone of her voice. She turned to face him and she saw the worry in his eyes. "Relax!" She chuckled. "I just wanted to know..." She took a deep breath before continuing. "As you know, Ron and Harry have been my best friends for quite a while. I have never kept anything from them, and I'm finding it quite hard to... keep us a secret. I know that you don't want anyone to know, but I promise they will not tell anybody. You may not be the best of friends," she raised her eyebrows pointedly, "but I promise that they will never betray me."
He was quiet for a few moments, and Hermione herself began to worry. Would he be angry? She hoped not, she hated it when he got into a fit of rage. "Granger, I will do anything for you, even if it means having to trust Potty and the Weasel." No matter how hard he was trying to please Hermione, he couldn't keep the scowl off his face. He could see that she was slightly irritated at him for what he said, but he couldn't help it. Just because he loved Hermione, that didn't mean he was going to fall in love with the two people that he hated the most as well.
"If you are okay with it, I would love it if you would come with me when I tell them." As he tried to object she interrupted him. "And I would really appreciate it if you were at least civil towards them. They are my best friends and I can't be involved with you if you can't even look at each other." Hermione knew how much Draco would hate her for doing this, but she couldn't have him disrespecting the people that she loved. He sighed and stared at the ceiling for what felt like forever. Finally he turned to her and gave her an answer.
"Anything for you, Granger." He looked annoyed, but his frown fell of his face as Hermione launched at him. She was now on top of him, hugging him. When she realised what she had just done, she jerked up and remained in a seating position on his stomach. Lucky for Draco, Hermione was thin and didn't weigh very much. Her cheeks blazed with embarrassment and she looked down at his bare torso. If it was possible, her blush deepened as he caught her staring at his toned abs.
"I am so sorry... Umm... Thank you so much... Yeah I'm going to go!" And with that she ran out of the room leaving Draco in complete shock. He smiled at her, even though he was panicking about telling her friends about them. They would hate him and he would hate them right back. He really didn't see why they needed to know, but it seemed important to Hermione so he would just have to grin and bear it.

When Hermione had gotten over her embarrassment of that morning, she sent Draco a charmed piece of parchment that only he could read that told him to meet up with her in their free period. She waited nervously until it was time to meet him, panicking about how Draco was feeling about telling Harry and Ron now that he had had time to think about everything that could go wrong. She had thought about it too, and now she was considering not telling them. But then her Gryffindor bravery kicked in and she walked confidently to the Room of Requirement.
