I laughed as we tried the routine again. "From the top", my choreographer Ashley Everett said.

I sighed as I tried to get the spin down, resulting in me tripping, but no one saw but the man above thank God, literally. "It's 5:30", I gasped.

Ashely huffed looking at her watch ,"Okay you can go but meet me tomorrow at the same time." I shook my head and gathered my things then made my way to my car. I had a important performance ahead for me , the American Music Awards for my single "How Will I Know".

I turned on the radio instantly being screamed at by Michael Jackson in "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough".

"Oh, so he can make chart topping songs but can't make a call." I rolled my eyes at the stupid statement I made. Moments passed and I was at my mansion my mother bought me also a singer, in Encino.

I rushed through the gates and ran inside excited to call JJ. We met when we I was Michael's date to the AMA's years prior. She had sass and I had spunk making us joined at the hip.

"Hey girl!" She squealed.

"How you doin'?" I said in a terrible manly impression.

"Janet, how's Michael? He hasn't talked to me in literally years." I said matter-of-factly.

"He's had been down in the dumps for "Off The Wall" not being nominated for the Grammys. He really is led a stray. I tried to tell him to be gracious for being nom'ed for the amas but he still gets pouty, and girl I'm simply not here for it." She huffed.

"Oh, well I guess I'll meet him there then." I murmured. I had to admit I was so nervous seeing him, much less performing in front of him.

"Even sooner, Mikes gonna be at the housewarming party, you should talk to him. I have a feeling he needs a lady friend." She said in a sly tone.

I thought for a moment and gave a click of my tongue, "JJ you're a mess."

"Oh you think I'm a mess? Girl I got the story for you, Latoya has decided to come out with an album, and girl it sucks!"

"Goodness gracious, who decided to give her a record deal? Let me guess she used the "I'm Michaels older, favorite, and most importantly most beautiful sister." I said in a squeaky impression.

"..... Mikes gonna produce, I'm literally dead."

We instantly fell into a pit of laughter, we were so evil.

After we finished, I sat on my patio and reminisced.

May 16, 1974

"Look Mike! There's another sand dollar!" I said through a smile. I ran a grabbed it instantly inspecting the treasure with care. I looked at him with a huge grin on my face.

"Whoever makes it to the dock last is a rotten egg!" He said while getting a head start.

"We're 16, and this is so so so childish, but I'm gonna get you! I squealed.

As I ran I stepped on a shard of glass cutting foot open, making me descend to the sand with a yelp. He made it to the dock and turned around to see what the hold up was. His eyes grew wide as he saw me, in pain. He bolted and stooped to my side. I remember blood staining the particles of sand, making a disturbing sight. My foot stang, making me suck in air.

"Whit, I'll be right back just hang in there." He then got up and ran to the beach house.

Later that same night, when my foot was getting stitched  he was there. My own mother couldn't make time to come and see me. That night when we were only 16, I realized Michael was the one I was going to marry - or so I thought.

Me and Michael had a great relationship growing up, but it changed when he went solo. His work made him push me away slowly until he couldn't even write me a letter or take time to call me. His dad said It was the best and I was just a bad influence on him even though he let the boys perform at places not suitable for children (but that's my opinion). I hadn't had a full conversation with him for 4 years at this point. I heard rumors he was asking about me but he never called. So I just ignored the rumors and went on focused on work, my first single just became the #1 single in the US, so I had a lot to prove that I wasn't just a "one hit wonder who came for the money then left". I could see the media ripping me apart piece by piece now.

Hey! I hope you enjoyed. This is my first story ever and this is such a cool experience. I put some hard effort even though it doesn't look like it lol.
