21. Initial reactions

Draco's POV

Making love to Hermione had been completely incredible. After she stopped screaming from the bite of course. I had literally felt her pain as I bit.

Something the books don't tell you about veelas is that the connection shared after the marking is truly breath taking. I can hear her thoughts if I choose to, (something we had a heated argument over because she felt it was spying and rude) and I can feel her emotions. She can feel and hear mine too, and has developed some of my strength and agility to put us on similar terms.

What I wasn't expecting was a letter from my mother.

Dearest Draco,

I hope you are well on the way to finding your mate by now, if you haven't already, do hurry up. I would like to see my son alive at the end of this year.

I'm writing to tell you that your father is scheduled for a dementors kiss next weekend, and I hope you will be there. For me, at least.

Wow. A dementors kiss? Surprising as he has no soul. I think I may pay him a visit though, at the trial. Worth it, I think. Full closure. Hate his guts. Aw what, am I seriously crying? Blaise and I had come so close to doing the deed, that in all honesty, I just wanted him even more. When the time was right, I'd be ready. I loved him.

"Asti?"

"Oh hey Mia. You okay?"

"Yeah... er I have something to tell you."

"Go on then?" I smiled.

"Draco and I er... well Draco um... marked me."

"What! No way!"

"Yeah"

"Did it hurt? They bite right?"

"Yeah. I'm surprised you didn't hear the scream to be honest."

"You used the spell right? The one that stops pregnancy?"

"Yeah yeah of course."

"Cool. So. How was it?"

"Amazing. So much better than what I did with Viktor. It's probably because I truly love Draco and I know he's my soul mate. We're meant for each other."

"AWHHHHHH"

"But yeah, Asti the pain is worth it. We get a share of the veela powers- strength and speed, and we can feel each other's emotions and hear each other's thoughts. It also makes sex, incredible."

"It's just a tiny scar to normal wizards, but to us, it's his initials. He practically glowed when he saw them. 'D.M' on my hip. I'm like his toy to be played with now." she rolled her eyes.

"I bet you don't mind playing with him though" I winked. She blushed.

That was all the incentive I needed to find Blaise. I wanted him, and I wanted him now.
