Jasey's POV

All I could do now was run. Those monsters had Patrick and Andy and who knows about Pete. I sprinted into the forest and fast as I could go even though my leg still hurt. There were footsteps behind me. I looked back for no more than a moment. A large black figure was rushing toward me, weaving through the trees.

Before I could go any farther, my ankle caught on an uplifted root and I face-planted in the cold dirt. I yanked at the branch, but it wouldn't budge. The figure was coming fast. I struggled to get the branch off, but I couldn't get it to move. My assailant was right on top of me.

I tried to scream, but they kicked me in the face. "Shut up you stupid bitch." She snarled, yanking her hood down. It was Courtney Love. Danny was a huge Nirvana fan at one point so I immediately recognized her.

"Courtney Love?" I gasped.

She smirked, "That's right." She held both my arms down with her feet, right where my burns were. I whimpered in pain.

"W-What do you want with me?" I stammered.

"You ruined my plans Riddell." She pulled something silver out of her jacket. "You're the only one that is left in my way. So now you're dead. Just like your friend." I heard a 'click' and the next thing I knew she was pointing a gun at my head.

"Don't you dare talk about Joe." I snarled.

"Or what?" She mocked. "Who's got the gun? Me. Now shut up."

"What did we do to you? What do you want with us?" I was more confused than scared now.

"Shut up!" Courtney snapped, pressing the gun to my forehead. "Without you, my plans can move along. Your precious Patrick is no more now that we have him. Without you and Hurley, Rock and Roll will die."

"Me and Andy? What about Pete?" I asked.

"Oh he'll be too preoccupied to worry about his precious music." She laughed.

"You're insane." I shuddered.

"Oh am I?" She pressed the cold metal to my head. "Any last words?"

Suddenly, there was another click. "Let her go, Love." A man spoke up. Courtney put away her gun and turned to face him. I couldn't see his face though since it was obscured by a black hood and sunglasses.

"Or what?" She snapped.

"Or I'll blow your brains out and expose that you kidnapped them and murdered Joseph Trohman." He said.

There was a long silence between the two of them. I dared not to even make a move.

"So what's it going to be Courtney?" the man asked. "The girl, or your life?"

Courtney threw her gun to the ground. "You win this time." She snarled. "You can have her. She's no use to me anyways." Courtney kicked me in the side one last time, right where my scars were. I winced in pain. Then she disappeared.

The man rushed over to my side and pulled my ankle out of the branches. "Are you okay?" He asked.

I shook my head. "Who are you?" I asked.

The man removed his hood and took off his glasses. "I am Sir Elton John. I'm here to help you get your friends back."
