" Yo Crystal come here! " " Noo, you come over here! " Crystal replied back, as she watched Jeremiah slowly walk towards her all she could think to herself was What do this fool want? She just knew he was about to ask a dumb question. " What you doing this weekend? " Jeremiah asked, Crystal just looked as if he said the most ignorant thing in the world. " Minding my business! " she shot back then walked away. "Crystal that was rude! " Diamond told Crystal as Crystal approached her. Diamond and Crystal were twin sisters, but they were like night and day. Diamond was the " Sweet & Sensitive " one & Crystal was the " Cold Hearted " one. However nobody in the school really looked at them that way, they seen them as the " Smith Twins " the finest girls on campus. " And how was that rude Diamond? He asked a question and I answered it" Crystal replied back, she didn't want to hear nothing else her sister had to say so she just walked off.

Once the girls got home Crystal decided to take a quick nap before work but couldn't because every time she closed her eyes that same image popped in her head. Crystal and Diamond used to have a lil' brother but that was before he died in a terrible accident. " Ring, Ring ". Crystal looked at her phone to see who was calling she didn't recognize the number but decided to answer any way.

" Hello, who this? " Crystal said answering the phone

" Hey, this Jeremiah ".

Crystal looked at the Phone as if it punched her in the face.

" Fool who gave you my number!? " She yelled

" Yo sister "

Crystal wanted to slap both of them, " Ugh, what do you want man.. You so worrisome! " She didn't realize how harsh she was sounding to him and she really didn't care. " I just wanted to kno if you was free this Saturday? " Jeremiah asked forcefully, Crystal instantly got mad " Why!? So you can just to get some Cause it ain't bout to go down like that! I hate when y'all niggas do that! I done been used for sex once and I'm NEVER going thru that again! " Crystal didn't even let him respond she just hung up and slammed the phone down.

When Jeremiah heard that " click " sound letting him kno she hung up he just thought himself why she gotta be so mean? But even though she was mean he just wasn't going to give up that easy. Crystal wasn't like these other girls she was independent and never chased behinds these dudes and that made him want her much more! " Ayee bruh get ya head out the clouds. What's wrong withcha? " Jeremiah brother James asked " Man it's Crystal " Jeremiah replied shaking his head trying to get his thoughts straight. " Crystal Smith?? " James asked sounding as if he was shocked " Yess.. " Jeremiah replied looking his brother dead in the eyes. " You actually like her? But bruh whyy? She as mean as a snake! " " Yo man chill out.. " Jeremiah Replied. James chuckled, " Bruh! You got so many females that's chasing after you and you telling me you worried bout Crystal ol' mean Behind ? She probably not even about yo let you hit she ain't worth chasing after! " " But James that's the point! Girls always chasing after me willing to do whatever I ask them to but Crystal? Naah, she different. She's so feisty I love the way she talks back! Man it's just something about her, plus she finest thing in the school! Why wouldn't I try to get with her? " Jeremiah said smiling at the very thought of her, " Yeaa I can't lie she a baddie, but why not Diamond they identical? It's just she got a way better attitude than Crystal " " Naah maan, Diamond too nice. Besides she already talking to somebody I think ". Once Jeremiah said that him and James decided to get something to eat. The whole time they was in the car Crystal was all Jeremiah could think about. He just knew she wasn't really cold hearted like that it was just a front to hide the pain, Jeremiah could kill to find out what the pain was and make it go away. He knew if he had a chance with Crystal he'd change her cause she was already changing him...

Crystal sat in her room for 2 hours waiting on Diamond to get home. As soon as she heard the front door open she hopped off the bed and went to see who it was. " Diamond!?" " Yes Crystal!? " " What the hell is yo problem! " Crystal yelled, Diamond was confused " Huh? " Diamond replied. Crystal could kill her sister right now " Don't play dumb with me man! Why you give Jeremiah my freaking number? "Crystal yelled getting louder " Crystal dang calm down. You just blew him off so I gave him yo number " when Diamond said that Crystal almost hit her with the glass vase sitting right beside her, " Diamond are you stupid? You don't just go around giving out people numbers like that! " when Crystal said that Diamond just smiled, " I know, I know. But he really likes you and I haven't seen you happy in such a long time. " Diamond replied, Crystal couldn't stay mad after that " I know you had good intentions but Jeremiah is a thot! That's not gonna make me happy Diamond that's just gonna waste time that I ain't got. " "Well he may be a thot now but he really likes you and who's to say you won't change him for the better? Cause I'm sure praying he'll change you. " Both girls chuckled Crystal kissed her sister on the cheek then went off to work. While she was on the way to work she started thinking about Jeremiah... Would we look good together? Could I change him or he change me? The thoughts scared her so she just ignored them and listened to music the rest of the ride to work. She finally arrived to work and she was excited cause today was pay day and she put in plenty hours! When she walked in she put her stuff in the back. " Hey girl! " her friend Rochelle said as she came in, " Hey girl wassup? " Crystal replied " Girl I'm just ready to get this 10pm-2am out the way " Rochelle replied and chuckled then pat Crystal on the back and walked out. Even though Crystal liked the money the hours was very tiring. " Mrs. Smith could you take these orders please? " Angela called out, that's Crystal's manager she's kind of like a mother figure to Crystal. "Yes ma'am I'm coming " Crystal said walking out the break room. Once she started working time flew by quickly 2am came real quick, she didn't even realize it was time for her to clock out until Angela reminded her. Angela always made sure she talked to Crystal before she left work. "Come talk to me real quick Crystal " Crystal walked over to Angela " yes mama? " Crystal answered with a smile. " How you doing babygirl" Crystal said she was doing fine but Angela knew she was lying. " Tell me the truth Crystal " " Okay, well it's this guy... He says he likes me but I don't know I mean he's known to be the biggest hoe at school.. He wanna take me out this weekend.... Well technically later today but I don't know I ain't feeling that. " Crystal sighed deeply as if she's been waiting forever to get that all off her chest. Angela just smiled " Well even though he's known to be a hoe doesn't mean you can't just give him a chance... " Crystal understood where Angela was coming from but she just wasn't the type to give any dude chances, if he'd play with other girls emotions she just knew he'd play with hers... He rapes and beat me damn near every night over something that happened years ago & you kno that Mrs. Angela" Crystal then lifted her head up and walked out the back door to her car. Once she got to the car she started thinking about the accident that happened years ago, she felt the tears coming but wouldn't dare let them fall. She then started thinking about her dad and what he does to her almost every night " Ring, Ring" her phone rung breaking her out of her thoughts, she just knew it was her dad but she was wrong. " Crystal answered looking at the time " Hey Crystal, I know you probably tired of me asking you this but I really wanna take you out and I just refuse to give up till I get a yess" It was Jeremiah, Crystal could feel herself getting upset , but she took a deep breath and replied...

" Uhhh nigga you know what time it is? I could've been sleep! "

" I know it's late, but yo sister said you got off at 2 I ain't wanna call right when you got off so I just waited till 3..." Jeremiah felt so nervous when he would talk to Crystal. " Crystal please, could you just please say yes "

Crystal couldn't believe this! Jeremiah was actually begging to take her out, she really didn't wanna go on no date. But he was annoying and she knew he'd blow her phone up till she say yes. " Ugh fine! I'll go on this lil' date with you! Tonight, I'll be ready by 7... You better be at my house no later than 8, I'll let you be a lil' fake gentlemen and pick the place we going but you better have me back home no later than 12am! Got that? " When Crystal said all that Jeremiah just smiled " alright I got you ma" Once their conversation was over Crystal hung up realizing it was almost 4am she hurried home. She knew her dad wasn't gonna mess with her tonight cause he had work in a few hours. Once she got home she went straight to her room and fell asleep...
