Chapter 6

" Wake up baby. " Jeremiah said kissing Crystal on the forehead. " What time is it? "Crystal asked rolling over. "10:00 in the morning " Jeremiah replied. Crystal got up & rubbed her eyes.

" You ready to go home baby? " Jeremiah asked.

Crystal put her head down " Yeaa, I guess. "

They got washed up out their clothes on and got in the car. On the way to Crystal house Jeremiah noticed she acting as if she was afraid to go home. " Bae, you good? "

" I'm straight. " she replied

Jeremiah didn't want to be pushy so he just left it alone. Once they pulled up to her house she leaned in and kissed Jeremiah so lovingly on the lips then walked inside. Once she got inside the house she noticed her sister crying.

" What's wrong Diamond? " Crystal asked walking up to her sister.

" It's Joe.. "

When Crystal heard that name she just rolled her eyes... She couldn't stand her sister's boyfriend, "Gaaah! What he do now? "She asked impatiently.

" He got some other girl pregnant! " Diamond replied

Crystal didn't say anything she just held her sister and told her everything would be alright. Once she finally got her sister calmed down she went to her room to lay down. When she got to the room her dad was sitting on her bed. " Hey Babygirl... " he said as she walked thru the door.

" Uhh, hi dad... " she responded nervously.

" So, you spent the night w/ that lil' thugg? Well I got something for you..! Come here! " he said chasing after Crystal.

Crystal don't know what took over her but she punched her dad dead in the face! Trying to get away from him, but that didn't work. Once he got on his feet he grabbed her and punched her back bruising her face, then punched her again busting her lip. " Don't you ever hit me like that again lil' girl! "He yanked her & slammed her on the bed. He took her pillow & covered her face making sure she couldn't yell while he was ramming inside of her. Crystal struggled to get up but after a while she started feeling numb all over and just started laying there taking it, she felt as if she was dying. Once her dad finally finished he kissed her cheek and told her he loved her. Crystal didn't move at all she just laid there, she couldn't even cry not even if she wanted to. Is this love? She thought to herself, What the hell! If this is love, then what is Jeremiah showing me? Why do my dad hate me? I know I made that one mistake but gosh! This is crazy, but I guess I do deserve it. All those thoughts ran thru Crystal's head as she laid there feeling lifeless.

Meanwhile Jeremiah just arrived home from dropping Crystal off. Ringg, Ringg! His phone started ringing, " Yea? " Jeremiah answered.

" Yo look, I gotta let you kno something 'bout Crystal man. "

Jeremiah recognized it was Bang's voice, " Well what's that? " Jeremiah asked.

" Can I come thru bruh? It'll be better to discus this face to face "

Jeremiah said cool and without another he hung up the phone. He was trying to understand what Bang could possibly know about Crystal. Minutes later Jeremiah heard a knock on the door and went to answer it. He greeted Bang at the door, " Wassup man? " Jeremiah asked letting Bang in.

Bang took a deep breath before speaking. " Man, you may want to sit down for this. " Jeremiah and Bang went to the living room, Jeremiah sat across from where Bang sat.

" Okay man... "Bang began to explain " about 2 years ago, me & Crystal met at Chante's pool party. When I saw her I just knew I had to have her, I was about 18 then I ain't know she was only 16... When I asked her how old she was she told me 19, and I believed cause she looked bout 19 and she was always hanging around Chante', Chante' was about 20 herself so I felt Crystal was being honest with me. Anyways to make a long story short, she set me up man. Then her lil' brother Ja'vonte got involved. Crystal and I was talking for a good lil' minute and I asked her ONE time when she gonna let me hit, she ran and told her sister Diamond that I tried to rape her. Then Diamond confronted me talking bout she only 16 and I shouldn't be forcing myself on her and all that... " Once Bang finished explaining what happened between him & Crystal Jeremiah just sat there in disbelief... Then he asked " She had a lil' brother? I never see him around the house. " Jeremiah asked sounding confused.

" Yea man, some dude shot and killed him " Bang replied sounding kind of nonchalant. Jeremiah ain't know how to feel he told Bang to leave and that he wanted to be left alone for a lil' while. Once Bang left Jeremiah just thought about everything he just heard. Things just didn't seen right with what Bang said. Jeremiah tried calling Crystal but kept getting her voicemail. He ain't like that, he knew she wasn't working cause she quit her job to get ready for school. Something just didn't seem right about that, he decided to drive back to her house. Once he pulled up he got out the car and knocked on the door, her dad answered..

" Is Crystal home sir? " Jeremiah asked

" She sleep right now, what you want with her? You done had her with you all night. " her dad responded harshly.

" Yea I know, but I really needda talk to her. " Jeremiah replied, he refused to leave without talking to her.

"I'm sure it's not that important. " her dad said trying to slam the door in Jeremiah's face. "Move your foot! " her dad said. Jeremiah did as he was told, he walked back to the car. He didn't pull off though. He decided to just sit in the car and wait for her dad to leave. Jeremiah sat in the car for about 3mins when phone buzzed it was a text from Crystal " Come get me please " Is what the text read. Jeremiah hopped out the car and went back up to the door. Her dad answered again... " Didn't I tell.. -" But before he could finish Jeremiah pushed thru him, running towards Crystal room. Once he got to her room he took one look at her and instantly got mad.

" WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YO FACE!?!??! " Jeremiah yelled, he also noticed she could barely walk. He was so pissed. "What happened to yo face! What's wrong baby?? Tell me!! " Jeremiah said again, but Crystal was just too weak to explain, she pointed towards the door. Jeremiah turned to the direction she pointed in and noticed her dad standing in the doorway.

" GET OUT NY DAUGHTER'S ROOM! " Her dad yelled coming towards Jeremiah, Jeremiah punched her dad in the face and watched him fall to the floor. He grabbed Crystal then carried her to the car. Once he put her in the car he looked at his face and then pulled off. They pulled up in his driveway, he grabbed her and carried her up to his room.

"Aye bruh! What happened? "James asked as he seen Jeremiah carrying Crystal to the room. But Jeremiah was just too pissed to respond " Just leave us alone right now bruh! " Jeremiah answered, he walked to the kitchen grabbed a damp rag and walked back to Crystal. He cleaned her face and found her some clothes to put on. Once he got her dressed he held her tight in her arms and just started crying. James walked in his brother room.

" Dude what happened? She good bruh?? "

"Man her dad did something to her! " Jeremiah said laying her on the bed and wiping his tears. " I gotta take her to the hospital. When moms get home let her know what's up, iight? " Jeremiah said picking her up and carried her back to the car. Ugh I could just kill that man! Jeremiah thought to himself, while he was on the way to the hospital. Once they arrived and Crystal was checked into the hospital in her room, Jeremiah walked over to the doctors and said he believed her dad was beating and raping her. The doctor called her mother and told her what Jeremiah just told him. " That boy lying! He probably the one who did it! My husband would NEVER hurt our children! " her mom responded.

" well look ma'am we'll like it if your husband could come up here for us to run some tests" the doctor responded. The doctor hung up without saying another word.
