Part 11: Away

Setting: Sapphire's house

Sapphire's POV

I hear a loud knock at the door downstairs. I got out of bed and walked down to the door.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"It's me." she said.

I knew from the voice it was Stacie.

"Me who?" I asked playing around.

"If you don't stop playing and open this damn door!" she snapped.

I laughed and opened the door.

"Calm down." I said.

she gave me a evil glare and walked into the kitchen.

I shut my door and followed after her.

When I got in the kitchen I seen her raiding my fridge.

"That's the only reason you came over?" I asked.

"No. " she said stuffing ice cream into her mouth. she was eating out of the carton.

I knew she wanted something.

"What do you want then?" I asked her.

"I can't just come and visit my friend?" she asked.

"No not unless you want something. You haven't called me in forever." I said.

"That's because I have a new boyfriend." she said.

"Oooo tell me about him!" I said grabbing a spoon and getting some ice cream.

She explained her boyfriend to me and he seemed really hot and smart.

"I really like him and I do see a future with him." she said smiling.

I giggled. "Aww my girl is falling in love." I said.

"Just a little bit. I need a favor." she asked.

"What kind of favor?" I asked.

"I want to do a double date with you and Chris."she said.

"Chris and I aren't even official." I said.

"Well it looks like it. You cook, clean , and take care of him." she said.

"Ok ok you have a point. I don't know if Chris is going to be up to it." I said.

"I'm up to it!" he said walking into the kitchen.

When he walked in I noticed he didn't have on his casts.

"Why are your casts off?" I asked him.

"My arm and leg are feeling better. I just came from the doctors." he said.

I nodded.

"Well y'all get dressed and I'll see y'all at 7." Stacie said running off with my bag of chips in hand.

"I'm glad you are feeling better." I said to Chris.

Since we started making out things have been awkward around here.

"I'm glad I'm feeling better too. It feels good to be able to walk again." he said standing in front of me.

I was short so I had to look up.

"I'm gonna go get dressed." I said moving away from him.

"Yeah me too." he said.

We walked to our rooms and got dressed.

When I walked downstairs Chris was already down there waiting for me.

"Damn you look good!" he said grabbing my hand when I was on the last step.

"Thank you." I said blushing.

"I want you to know that I really like you. It's kind of obvious but I really care for you. Now since I got my leg and arm back I'm gonna be very busy and I'm going to L.A. tomorrow morning." he said.

( BTW they're in New York. )

I had a blank expression on my face. I didn't know what to say. I was mad and sad all in one.
