Makota sighed as her transparent body became more visible as she shook her head and rubbed it. She looked up to see Dimitri and i just sitting there, the look on Dimitri's face was a mixture of shock and terror.
"Wh-What is that thing?" he asked
"Excuse me? Thing? I'm a very powerful animal spirit! Fear me!" Makota joked as she stood on her hid legs and waved her front paws in the air frantically.
Dimitri seemed to relax a bit "Oh really?" he smirked
"Yes really!" Makota growled softly as she turned into her Inu form. The look on Dimitri's face was a mixture of impressed and baffled. I mean, who could blame him? AnyWho in the stumbles upon this island is bound to have a few questions. I opened my mouth to talk but Dimitri spoke faster.
"So you're like a ghost?" He asked in and assuming manner as he eyes Makota up and down. I could see Makota getting more annoyed by the second as she spoke.
"I am a spirit, not a ghost." She replied trying to not show how annoyed she was.
"What's the difference?" He asked as he shrugged his shoulders, what he doesn't know is he is about to get the lecture of his lifetime. I braced myself.
"Well my little human," Makota began "spirits and ghosts are very different, for starters being a spirit means I own an actual living body. I also own my spirit form. Also, I have elemental powers unlike ghosts."
The look on Dimitri's face was very interesting, he had a mixture of fascinated yet bored, that's when I knew I needed to stop ranting before it went on anymore and became an argument.
"well look at the time," I began as I stared up at the sky "shouldn't we be figuring out a way to get you back home?" I asked cutting Makota off mid stream of her continuation of her rent. Dimitri's gaze shifted from Makota to me suddenly.
"that would be amazing if I could go back home, but I have no boat." Dimitri said solemnly as he stared out at the ocean.
"Well why don't you build a boat?" I asked. Dimitri looked at me, the expression on his face was like none I've seen before. It's like he didn't even think about that idea. Humans are so strange...
"That's it's!" Dimitri stood up "I'll build a raft to go back home with!!"
I stifled a laugh as Makota looked at him like he was stupid "why does it sound like you didn't even consider that option?"
Dimitri laughed "to be honest I'm still a little shook up from the reason I'm here in the first place.
I blinked, that's right, Dimitri was just kinda here. "How did you drift ashore?" I asked curiously.
Dimitri's repression changed to one of disgust and fear as he looked at me dead in the eye as he spoke.
"Pirates."
