Reason to be with you

Mark and Haechan has been best friends ever since the SM Rookies era. Sure Haechan always annoyed Mark with his jokes, not because he really wanted to annoy Mark but he just wanted Mark's attention. Recently, Mark has been extremely close with Jeno and Jaemin and that makes Haechan kind of jealous.

"Mark hyung, is my jokes are too m-" Haechan was about to ask Mark but suddenly Jisung came into Mark and Haechan's room

"Mark hyung~ look what Chenle hyung did!" Jisung complained as he pointed to his hair, which is full of food coloring.

"Wait a minute, Jisung. Um, Haechan, what is your questions just now?" Mark asked.

"Ahh, nothing. Haha just go with Jisung" Haechan said pretending he's okay.

"Okay" mark said and left.

From the inside of their room, Haechan can hear Mark's laugh with the others and Jisung made some crying baby voice.

"Chenle, what have you done?" Mark, who is still laughing asked Chenle.

"He said he wanted to be like Sehun hyung. So I gave him rainbow hair."

"NOT WITH FOOD COLORING OF COURSE" Jisung is mad now.

"Just wash it off" Jaehyun who came out of nowhere said to Jisung.

"IT CAN'T COME OFF" Jisung nearly raised his voice towards Jaehyun. Mark continued to laugh and it made Jisung more annoyed then ever.

"Just ask the stylist to dye back your hair duh. Stop making a fuss of simple things" Johnny said when came out from his room. The other boys nodded their head together.

Haechan, who heard all their conversation, sighed.

'Is my jokes are too much? Why Mark hyung so happy with them?' Haechan thought.

It's not like he doesn't want Mark to be happy with the others but he really wanted to be like when they were in SMRookies. Just them being happy together.

Later that night, Haechan was at the rooftop. He was looking at the stars when suddenly Jeno came.

"Oh hi Donghyuck. What are doing out here?"

"Guess can ask you the same"

"Mark hyung asked me to find you"

"Mark did? Why doesn't he find me by himself" Haechan's expression is either annoyed or suprised and Jeno can't differentiate.

"Yes, he did. Well, he has been trying to remove the food coloring from Jisung's hair. What happen? Are you guys fighting?" Jeno asked

"N-Nothing" Haechan replied and there an awkward silence going on between them.

"How long has you and Jaemin been friends?" Haechan asked, breaking the silence.

"Since I got into SMRookies the same as him and we are both classmates so.."

"Don't you feel jealous when he's with others"

"Sometimes but Jaemin knew it so it's okay. I see, you're jealous when Mark hyung with the others?" Jeno questioned.

"Umm, kind of and wait, 'Jaemin knew it'? What do you mean?"

"I told Jaemin about how I sometimes got jealous when he's with the others and it's actually helped though. Not really helped but he would spend time with me on the weekends so, it's okay" Jeno chuckled a bit.

Again, there is some silence between them.

"You know, you need to tell Mark hyung too" Jeno breaks the silence.

"Are you crazy? I'm known because of my sassiness." Haechan protected himself and Jeno sighed as he got up.

"You know, Billy Cox once said 'If you want to grow, put pride aside, let ego go, and do what's right in your heart and soul'. So, just go while you still have the chance." Jeno left him.

That night, NCT and SMRookies members sleep at 11 p.m. which is a little bit late then usual. In Markchan's room, Mark already sleeping soundly, meanwhile, Haechan kept thinking what Jeno said earlier.

It's 4 in the morning and Haechan still doesn't sleep yet. So, he decided to wake Mark up.

"Mark hyung, wake up" Haechan whispered but it's enough to make the older wake up.

"Y-Yes, Haechan?"

"Can you come with me to the kitchen? I want to eat Corn Flakes"

"Really, Haechan? It's like *looked at the clock* 4 in the morning" Mark groaned but still went to the kitchen with the younger.

"Why do you want to eat Corn Flakes though? No, I mean why it has to be 4 in the morning? No, to be exact, why you have to wake me up? Aren't you always went by yourself?" Mark only woke up but it's like he has been practicing rap in his dream.

"Mark hyung" Haechan suddenly said making Mark stop complaining.

"I just wanted a reason to be with you"

Mark was suprised.

"Haechan? Are you drunk? or is it because you got less sleep hours?" Mark asked a little bit worried.

"No, Mark hyung. I'm not drunk. You always been with Jeno and Jaemin and it annoys me. I mean we were close when SMRookies era. Why you suddenly distant from me?"

"No, it's not because I want to distant my self from you, but it just, I like you but I don't have any jokes or what ever to say to you" Mark said and Haechan unexpectedly hugged Mark.

"It's okay. Even it's only you, it can make me happy though"
