It was finally september first. The week was terribly long. I guess you could say i was in a terrible mood. All week long. I barely smiled until this morning. This particular morning made me very happy.
It was almost 10:30 and that was the time we were going to go to kings cross station. I was already packed and I was smiling. My dad was taking a picture of me and labeling it my first year September first.
We were going to go so I could run through the wall. It was a first year tradition and I wasn't one to break this tradition. I wanted to go through with this one.
"Can we go now?" I asked with a slim smile. Then again, all my smiles were slim unless it's a thunder storm. The lightning.
"Yes, it's 10:30, we have thirty minutes until the train leaves." My father said cheerfully. He was excited and I was excited, but my mom looked anything but excited. She looked like she was torn up about me being her daughter and me being apparently evil. She wasn't going with us to drop me off. I think she doesn't want to cause a scene about how I should hope to not be in slytherin.
"Lets go!" I cheered as my father grabbed my arm. We apparaited to right outside of kings cross station. We walked through the crowded area to get to the wall in between platforms 9 and 10.
"Don't run too fast, you might run into someone." My father said as I nodded. I don't want to meet people that way. I swiftly walked through the wall. I wasn't scared, not because I trusted my parents but because I knew a barrier when I saw one. Even though my father warned me, I almost ran into someone just on the other side. It was a boy who looked about my age.
"You should watch where you're going. You almost hit me." he said coldly as I stared at him.
"You should watch where you're standing. I nearly hit you." I shot back as he glared at me.
"You don't act like a young lady." He stated as I started walking away from him.
"You wouldn't know, you aren't a young lady. So you cannot deem how we act." I called back as I got onto the train. There was something about that boy. It was strange. Infact, it was almost as strange as myself.
On the train, I found the sixteen year old from the ice cream parlor. I walked into his compartment. His friends stopped talking and stared at me. He stared at me too.
"I'm assuming you're all this boys friends?" I asked as I pointed to him. They nodded as I chuckled.
"Has he told you about the girl that threatened to end him?" I asked as they nodded. "Good, that would be me. I'll be sitting here. I'd rather like to avoid a boy that I don't like very much." I stated as they looked at me weirdly.
"He said you were like the devil. That you trapped him with a very unnerving stare." a guy said as I looked towards him.
"What's life without a little fun. I didn't like the thought of throwing up because of crushed mandrake leaves in my ice cream. I just put him into place. That's all." I said as he chuckled.
"Makes perfect sense." He said nodding.
"So what house do you wish to be in?" A girl asked as I chuckled a little.
"My father says I have traits that could land me into any house, while my mother refuses to look at me without venom because she believes I will be in Slytherin. I myself don't really care what house I'm in." I said as they all stared at me in shock. They didn't expect me to answer the question like that.
"That attitude is sure to land you in Gryffindor." one of them said as I shrugged. If only they knew that I was well aware of what house I'd be placed in. The hat was going to decide but I already knew.
"Don't let her fool you. She even admitted to saying she would end me!" The ice cream parlor guy said as I looked at him with a fixed gaze. He froze under it and slightly shivered.
"Well, I find there are very few joys in life. To me, Ice cream is one of them. So you trying to poison my ice cream, was like declaring war with me. Therefore, it is only you that I have been cold towards." I stated coldly at him. He shivered. I looked at one of his friends.
"And that is how you handle him. If you ever need help, feel free to ask." I stated as they all chuckled.
"My name is Lena Potter." Said a girl with bright blue eyes and the darkest hair I had ever seen.
"William Everston." said a blond haired boy with green eyes.
"Ember Longbottom." Said a girl that had red hair and brown eyes.
"Embry Longbottom." Said a guy that looked just like her.
"Nathaniel Chaste." Said the guy from the ice cream parlor. He had brown hair and blue eyes.
"Elijah Blaine." Said the final guy. He had black hair and brown eyes.
"Pleasure to meet you all, I am Mira LeForte." I said as the two Longbottom twins gasped.
"I've heard about your family. You have had at least one person in every house except for Slytherin." Ember said as I nodded.
"Yes, for some reason, the hat has always avoided Slytherin. Always saying they were definitely not fit for that house." I said with a shrug.
"Then you basically have a one in a million chance to be put in Slytherin." Embry said as I held up a fake smile. I wouldn't be too sure of that. I am very different from my family members. Yes. Truly, fully, different from them.Hey guys, sorry I've been away for a while. I got caught up in a lot of stuff. Anyways, I wanted to say, Lena Potter is Fleamount's cousin.
Anyways. I hope you guys enjoy this story. I know it needs a lot of editing. I will try to not have many author notes, I know how annoying they can be.
Bye loves,
A. Fox
