What Happened That Night

Chapter 5

I woke up the next morning right as Jay woke up. We've always been the early risers.

"Want to make pancakes?" I ask knowing the answer is going to be yes.

"Yupp"

"I thought so" I said laughing.

We get up, grab all the supplies, and turn on some music. We dance and cook the pancakes. We were in the middle of eating when her phone went off.

She looked down typed something and then said "Hey its okay if Mason comes over right?"

"Yeah." I reply with a mouth full of chocolate chip pancake. Less than 20 minutes later Mason showed up. He let himself in and found us in the kitchen finishing up our pancakes and cleaning.  Once we were done we all sit on the couch.

Mason finally speaks up "So do yall want to do anything today?"

I shrug my shoulders "sure"

"Yeah I don't care" replies Jay.

"Well theres a couple of people meeting up for a movie at the mall later want to go?" Mason said.

"Yeah that sounds fun."

"Yeah" replied Jay.

Jay and I went to my closet and roamed it for something to wear. She finally decided on some jeans, riding boots, a sweater and a long sleeved shirt. I decided on leggings, uggs, a sweater type dress and a coat that was the same length. I locked up the house and met them in Masons car. We went to go see Catching Fire. Kinley, James, Rose, Hunter, and Braden were there. Great im going to be third wheeling. Unless this was an attempt to get me and Braden together and if thats the case I don't mind he's a god. I went and sat next to him.

"Hey" he said while smiling obviously turning on the charm.

"Hi" I smile back.

We get about half way into the movie and his arm is around my neck. I don't really don't know how to feel about it. Once the movie is over we go out to eat at Olive Garden and talked about the movie and caught up. Once done with that Mason drove me home and I fell asleep. The next morning I have a text from Braden.

Braden: We should get together again soon.

Me: Yes that'd be nice

Braden: I'm off work tomorrow

Me: I have a photoshoot do you want to come?

Braden: Yeah sounds fun

Me: Okay cool haha be at my house no later than 10

Braden: Sounds good see you then

I click my phone off and go to the kitchen. I pull out some Lucky Charms, pour them into a bowl, grab a spoon, pour some milk, and then start eating. I turn on the news.

"Two teens have been killed in a car crash" says the news lady. I turn up the volume. "Early this morning two teens were headed home and crashed into a pole."

I quickly grabbed my phone and texted everyone

Group message

Me: is everyone okay?!?

Jay: yupp why?

Lauren: yeah goodnight.

Kinley: yes now im going back to bed.

Haley: yeah why?

Lila: yeah back to bed for me.

Rose: yes im fine why?

Me: Two teens died in a car crash this morning I just wanted to make sure it wasn't any of yall

Jay: oh thats sad

Rose: wow 2 more teens gone

Haley: oh yeah I heard that.

Jay: Do they know how yet?

Me: Texting...

Jay: oh wow

Rose: Really?!

Haley: wow thats crazy

Me: Yeah its sad 2 more teens gone for no reason.. Well I just wanted to make sure it wasn't any of yall so yall can go back to doing whatever you were doing sorry for bothering.

Jay: im coming over

Rose: Can I come?

Haley: Me too?

Me: yeah

20 minutes later Rose finally showed up. We were all still in our pjs with our hair all crazy.

I laughed "We all look ratchet!"

They all laughed.

"Who's judging?" asked Jay.

"I hope nobody" replied Rose.

"Have yall had breakfast yet?"

"Noooo and im starving" replied Rose.

"Same" agreed Haley and Jay.

"Yall know where the cereal is help yourselves." They laugh and start grabbing the stuff. Once they were done we sat on the couch and scrolled through netflix for something to watch. We finally settled for The Boy In The Striped Pajamas. Jay had never seen it before. By the end Rose and I were in tears. We then searched for another movie and found My Sisters Keeper. Jay cried in this one. Then after that it was Pearl Harbor, then The Little Mermaid, Taken 2, Tangled, and What To Expect When Expecting. After that we all took a nap.

Looks like everything is going back to normal!
