Shadows looming over

A man approached from the shadows of the tree looking at me. He had the same appearance as many of my clan. I had started to reach for my dagger hidden by my clothes, but stopped when I saw his looks. I also noticed he had his wing hidden with a cloak used mostly among warriors. He glanced at me his fringe covering his right eye. There was a silence lingering between the two us. Before the man walked forward towards me. He glanced at my injured wing before motioning for me follow. I hesitantly did so. I don't think things could go much more worse than they already are.

Following the mysterious man who hasn't still told me his name we had walked into an opening with a small cottage.

Opening the door for me he waited until I walked in before closing the door behind him.

The man motioned for me to sit down on the couch before disappearing into a room himself.

The cottage was small, but lively. I was currently in a living room and I think the man went to the kitchen. There were few other doors leading somewhere. The man came back quietly holding a first aid kit.

Spreading my wing a little so the wound was visible.

He inspected the wound before taking out a pair of tweezers and picking out the little bits of stone left in the wound before dabbing some disinfectant on it. I hissed a little at the burning feeling on my wound. He briefly glanced at me before continuing. Taking out a roll of bandages he carefully bandaged the wound. Seemingly happy with his work or probably closest thing to that seeing as he had a poker face. He stood up and spoke up for the first time I had heard "You should get some rest" he said calmly leaving me sitting on the couch confused.

That left me with some time to think. I wonder if they are searching for me. I bet they are. There is just no way they wouldn't. How far have I come even? I'm really lost and not even quite sure where the clan compound would be.

Pushing away those thoughts I laid down on the couch and closed my eyes resting like the man recommended whose name I still don't know. Such a good start.

I peaked out from the door to see the girl I had helped was sleeping peacefully. Gently I moved her into my arms and carried her into the bed tucking her in before leaving the room. Not many people have come here for a long time. The clan compounds are far away from here. She is the first one for a quite long time. Walking into the living room I took the couch and laid down. Turning to look at the ceiling I put my forearm over my eyes some memories resurfacing. Good and bad ones. Putting hand over my right eye I stared blankly up at the ceiling boards.

Wrapping the cloak along with my wings around my body I closed my eyes and I could hear them talking from my memories 'Why would you do that?' she asked shocked 'Are you crazy!?' he yelled mad ' I'm sorry for having to do this' he cried out 'I will owe you forever' she cried sniffling 'You are disgrace' he stated sternly.

Opening my eyes I heard the voice fade out. Once again reminding myself that it was my own decision. One that I wouldn't regret. This would be another chance to do something right for once. I just hope I don't mess this one up.

I too probably should get some rest. Getting into a comfortable position I closed my eyes slowly drifting into sleep.
