"Jasper?"
"Uh huh" Jasper was already sipping his black coffee and biting on his bagel.
"Could you pretty please do me a favor?" She batted her eyelashes in pure innocence.
"Anything for you my love" Jasper put his bagel down and gave her his full attention.
"I would really like to know where my plate and drink are so I don't make a complete fool out of myself." She smiled at him while he looked at her with horror.
"I'm so sorry, Bloody hell I did it again. I can't do anything right can I?" She giggled at his cliche British slang. She really doesn't worry about looking clueless when it come to figuring out where her fork is poking on her plate, but thought it would be fun to see how he would react. Eventually she hopes that he will ease up on himself and become completely comfortable with her. She actually never had to feel that way before. Then and there she was reminded of her first and only boyfriend.
She was in 5th grade when they met. Her teacher always asked for a volunteer to help her around school. Kids would always misplace chairs and school supplies putting her in danger. Usually it was a nice girl or teachers pet that would assist her around. But the year of 2005 a boy raised his hand. He was new to the town and didn't have any friends yet. She guessed he saw a perfect opportunity to get close to someone quickly. From the moment he met her he was an expert in her assistance. Helping her more then the kids from past years. This boy's name was Noah.
Noah loved helping Salvi around. He grew very fond of her and stuck very close. All the girls in their grade adored Noah and couldn't see why he never took a step away from Salvi to hang with them. He had friends, but not like Salvi. Noah one day after sitting with Salvi under a tree decided to tell her how much he liked her. He gave her a kiss on her cheek and from that day never stopped holding her hand.
That is until he moved a year later.
"How about you give me your hand Jasper and show me where my fork and plate is?" Salvi fumbled around to grab Jasper's hand. He held it and hovered it over her fork and plate.
Jasper could feel electricity bolt up his arm when she touched him leaving a warm feeling behind. Wow she was something he thought. He better not screw this up.
"There! Now I get to eat my fluffy sweet pancakes."Salvi hummed in joy as she took a bite out of her tasty meal.
"You sure are a pretty song bird in the morning." Jasper watched in amusement as she ate her food, completely forgetting about his own.
"Jasper?"
"Yes my bird."He replied his hands under his chin thoroughly enjoying her company.
"You aren't eating your food." She gave him a confused frown that made him chuckle.
"Well I guess I'm to busy thinking about you. Tell me more about your self?"
"Hmm. More about myself. What exactly do you want me to tell you?"She cocked her head sideways in question.
"Okay for instance the paints you bought yesterday." After knowing she is blind it was a question that stuck with him that day.
"Oh you want to know about that." Salvi didn't quite know how to explain that one. "Well I guess I got that because I've been feeling lonely and wanted something to keep me busy." She held a pause before continuing. "Also It reminds me a lot about my dad and I really miss him. He used to actually tell me what he was painting. He was great at describing things to me. It made me want to paint"
"Why don't you just ring him up if you miss him. You guys could even try and paint together." He saw her face frown just a little before a small sad smile stretched on her lips."What's wrong?" Giving himself a pause to think about what he said he then realized. "Oh. Oh! I have to be your worst date ever."
