"Yulianna Drew?" I heard Mr. Froster call my name. I look up to the some what old man from my work.

"Present." I said in the calmest yet quietest voice ever. I looked back down to my novel. Gone With The Wind. I have no idea how much I have read this book. What? 6 times? I smile to myself as I keep concentrate. I felt a tap on my shoulder. Dallas.

"What the hell do you want?" I whisper, looking at Mr. Froster just so he doesn't see us.

"I'm bored of this class, let's ditch." He said. I shook my head.

"You're nuts! Right infront of Mr. Froster too? As much as I don't want to ditch class, ditching infront of Mr. Froster is kind of a dumb way to ditch." I whispered too loudly then I saw Ponyboy look at me. Shit. I looked back to my book.

Dallas tapped me again.

"Yuli, Yuli, Yulianna.." I ignored him. Tryinf to focus on my book.

"Anna!" I slammed my book shut. I don't like being called Anna, and I certainly don't like Dallas Winston calling me Anna.

I glared at him. "Get it over your head and shut the fuck up." I didn't even whisper this time, and Mr. Froster stood up from his desk. "That's enough from you two!" I put my head down at my desk.

Finally class was over, and I got up from my desk, smoothing out my plaid skirt, grabbing my books, and walking out in silence. Not even looking back at Dally.

I walked outside of campus, greeting Cherry and Marcia. Then left towards my house. I felt relieved when I went to my bedroom. Putting my things on my desk and throwing myself on my bed. I took a deep breath.

I sat up on my bed, and took my dark brown hair and put it into a high ponytail. Pony.. Ponyboy!

I was supposed to leave my door unlocked so we could study together, so my door was being banged on.

Blast it, Yulianna.

I run downstairs to open my door, hoping to see Ponyboy. No. It's just Dallas.

"What are you doing here?" I ask, not too harshly. He laughed at me. I scoffed.

"Where's Ponyboy?" I ask. Walking away letting him in. He slams the door shut. Of course he does.

"Don't know, don't care." He plops himself on the couch and I cross my arms.

"Very disrespectful of you just randomly coming in here and sitting on my couch." I said. He raises his hands.

"I just wanted to say hi, that's all." He was lying through his teeth.

"Get out." I shouted at him, pointing at my door. "Why should I huh?" He was seriously wanting me to throw a plate at him.

"Get out!" I yelled more harshly. He got up and left. I don't like Dallas Winston. He's an annoying little shit. I decided I can go over to the Curtis' and study there. I grabbed my backpack and started walking over there.

I opened the door remembering that they never leave the door locked. I looked around the house. I see Soda on the couch with a beer in his hand.

"Where's Ponyboy?" I ask.

"Track." He said. "I'm gonna wait for him then." I ploped myself on the couch next to Sodapop.

"Whatcha watchin' there?" He chuckles and I playfully swat at him. "Two-Bit's watching Mickey Mouse. I'm just sitting here practically babysitting him." I was cracking up. So was he.

I've always have had a soft spot for Soda. He's always been really protective yet friendly and hilarious. He's like my best friend. Then I have Darry, who's like the dad I wished I had. My dad left mom and I when I was 5. I never knew my dad then but when he left, my mom was a mess.

She would find her way to get in trouble with the fuzz, getting drunk every chance she got. Sometimes I would come home and there are beer bottles everywhere. I tried making her sober but then she would end up puking everywhere.

Plus, ever since my dad left, she doesn't even know I'm there. Or if she does, she doesn't care. The Curtis' have always been there for me whenever I needed them most.

I've always have had this special liking for Ponyboy. We have so much in common, and if I'm sad, he's the first person I go to. I always hear Johnny and Steve say that we would make a cute couple. Dallas hates when he hears that. His nose cringes. Which to me is actually cute and funny at the same time.

But, I don't necessarily liked Dally as much as the rest of the gang. Like Ponyboy, he's my least favorite. He'a always finding a way to piss me off, but then to get nice at me after. He does it all the time, even to Johnny. But he cares about Johnny and not me so there's a clear difference between that.

I was getting tired, and I was falling asleep on Soda's broad shoulders. Then I heard the door bust open.

Dally.

"Ugh." I say, making a face and getting off of Soda.

"Oh I'm sorry Yuli, I'll just leave." He sounded more sarcastic than I thought he would.

"That would be a great idea." I said sarcastically back at him rolling my eyes.

"Wait, before you leave," Darry walked from the kitchen. "I need you to pick up Ponyboy from track."

"Sure." Dally says. "Yuli is coming with me." He winks at me.

"No I'm not!" I cross my arms and stare at the TV.

I feel him grip my arm and pull me up. "Come on, fiesty brunette." He laughs. I try to pull away but he wouldn't have it.

This is gonna be a long drive.. I thought.
