Kuroken - A sudden star

Chapter 1 - Interest

Kenma was a small boy at the age of 15. His hair was dyed blonde and he played volleyball. It wasn't his favourite thing or a hobby he liked the best but he was good at it. Like every male of his age he had a crush. Well most of them have crushes. Nobody would have expected the awkward male to have a crush on someone. It seemed weird. And he knew that. So he kept it a secret. The few friends he had kept nudging him and said things like "Hey, who do you like?", "Do you still don't have a crush?", "What? You still don't have a girlfriend?" or "Isn't she cute?" and pointed on random girls when they walked by. Kenma didn't like anyone... til then. He was always quiet and too busy with playing games to notice the people around him. The friendships he kept with Yaku or Tora for example, were mostly so he wouldn't completely drown in loneliness, like he did in elementary school.

One day he was playing one of his games and lost his concentration as soon as he heard this one song. His golden eyes switched off the gameboy and he looked through the classroom, trying to find the person playing the song. He only knew it was K-pop, he didn't knew the title or who sang it. The tall girl in one of the front seats had her heanphones on and she tilted her head in the rhythm of the melody.

Kenma thought for a moment if he should really get up but put his game down then and pushed it under his exercise book. Slowly walking, he came near the girl and hesitated a little before he carefully tapped her shouler lightly with his finger. Talking with girls? Nah, he was too shy for that but he really needed to know the song's name. When she turned to him, he flinched a bit. Not because she was pretty, or he liked her, no. He was just shy. "Uhm s-sorry that I disturb you.." He mumbled and looked down on the ground shyly, his bangs falling into his face. A small smile grew on the girls face when she saw how shy he was and put her headphones down. "Kenma-kun, right?" he nodded a little. "How can I help you?" she asked a little amused and smiled warmly at him. "I-I uhm" he coughed before forcing his self to look at her "I'd like to know to what song you were listening. Could you tell me please?" She looked a little surprised but nodded and grabbed one of the note papers in front of her, writing down the information he wanted. She smiled at him again as he gave the small boy the note and he turned away after bending down a little. Back on his chair, he watched her putting on the headphones again and looked back on the note. 'Yourself by Cats'

When Kenma came home, he threw his bag into a corner of his room and let his self drop on the bed. He took out the note of his pocket and stared at it. Slowly standing up, he reached for the laptop on his desk and pulled it on the bed. Once he laid on his stomach, he turned the small computer on and typed, into the searching task on MeTube, 'Yourself Cats'- The first video that showed up was a music video of the group. Shrugging he clicked on it and waited for it to load.

The music was calm at first, slowly getting louder and the text was sung faster, minute by minute. Kenma's heart stopped for a moment when he showed up. His suit was red, his black hair messy and his eyes sparkling in a beautiful dark gold. He held his breath as he stared at this absolute gorgeous boy. Later, he looked up the group and found some information. So the boy's name was Kuroo Tetsurou, Japanese family, and he was 16. "Only 16?" Kenma asked his self but he continued reading. 'According to the newest interview, Kuroo-san plans to end home schooling soon to attend a normal school (...)' "He looks arrogant..", Kenma thought and looked at a few pictures of him. But he couldn't keep his self from looking at his pictures. Kuroo was just too addicting. On every on them he was posing in weird ways that showed how muscled he was. He was tall. And handsome. He also seemed to smirk a lot. Kenma blushed a little when he looked at more pictures. Why was he even looking at them? But oh well, he didn't stop now. After finding some more information he decided to listen to more songs of his group and put headphones in the laptop. A little later he was dozing off, having a calm song, only by Kuroo, playing in a loop.
