The days until the final exams flew by fast and Kenma had to concentrate so he wouldn't fail. Well, he still preferred playing games in class instead of paying attention but Yaku kicked him if he did so. Soon new students would come and he wouldn't be the youngest anymore. Soon he would be a second year. Not that he cared.. but he was a little exited to be a senpai. When the exams were over it turned out, he got a lot better at Korean. Nobody knew why but nobody knew he was listening to K-pop. School was over earlier that day, the new students came to write their exam so they could attend his school. Nekoma.
Kenma walked out of the building and to the gym for volleyball practice, staring down at his game. A tall guy with black messy hair walked by, wearing sunglasses. Nothing special. "Wait-" Kenma thought and looked up, turning around. "..who wears sunglasses in fall..?" he stared for a moment after the guy before recognizing the movements of his body. "That can't be.." . Kenma stopped breathing for a moment as he saw the small smirk on the strangers face. The blonde male's ears turned red and he ran to the gym to distract himself with some volleyball.
Fall break. All Kenma did over day was playing games. Basically he only left his room to go to the toilet or get more snacks and drinks. His family was already used to it so his mom just bought a lot of energy drinks and chips so he wouldn't starve. His father didn't understand why his son didn't go outside but forcing him wouldn't be a really good thing ether. They already tried nearly everything so they gave up. Sometimes Yaku or Tora tried to get him to go practice volleyball with them but he pretended not noticing the texts or played sick.
Two weeks went by until he fell out of his bed in the morning and turning off the alarm. He looked horrible. Big dark bags under his eyes cause he almost played all night. His hair was pretty messy and one could clearly see that he needed to dye it again but he was too lazy. He didn't care about what he looked like anyways so he just let it like this. After showering he quickly got dressed and walked downstairs to get his bag. Breakfast? No thanks, food made him feel sick in the morning so he always skipped it. When he closed the door behind him a car drove by, a bit of black hair sticking out of the window of one of the backseats. His heartbeat got faster when he saw it. Just because of the black hair? Well a lot people had black hair in Japan but his heart didn't beat stronger at other persons. Starting to think about Kuroo, who maybe sat in this car, caused a small flush on his cheeks when he started his way.
School was boring. The first 2 classes went by so slowly and he could've fallen asleep immediatly if Yaku wouldn't have thrown pieces of paper at him the whole time. Break time. Kenma laid his head on his table, exhaused from actually paying attention and the lack of sleep. "Attention. The new students will now be lead to their classes. Be nice to them" the principal said through the speaker and the blonde boy perked up a little, curious who would be new in his class. He was still in the same class as Yaku nut Tora and a few others disappeared. Not that he was sad, but he kinds missed the loud idiot. The teacher left the class to get the new students and Kenma sighed, not really hoping it would happen.
A few minutes later the door opened again and he could hear the bell ring so everyone sat down again. he could hear two persons walk through the room and to the black board. "Just a small look.." he said to his self and slowly looked up. In front of the class, next to the teacher, stood a tall handsome boy at the age of 16 with black messy hair and a smirk on his lips. Kenma couldn't believe it. "Good morning, I'm Kuroo Tetsurou, nice to meet you" He smiled warmly at them and looked at his new classmates, his eyes staying at Kenma for a few seconds. The small boy quickly turned his face back on the table before someone could notice his blush. "Thank you, Kuroo-kun, now go and decide for a seat." the teacher pointed at the free chairs and Kuroo started moving. He was quick there, where he wanted to sit, thank to his long legs and sat down. Right in front of someone extremly shy. Kenma still couldn't believe that this was really happening and he wasn't just dreaming. Kuroo, his celebrity crush, attended his school, was in his class and sat in front of him? Not possible. "Hey, blondie" Kenma twitched "What?" he muttered, not even looking up "Show me the school, okay?" he asked friendly, what only caused that Kenma blushed more. "S-sure.." he mumnled, hoping he would stop blushing some day
Math started. now not even Yaku could keep him awake and he dozed off, drooling a little on his table. Kuroo couldn't really stop looking back at the small body moving a little up and down as he breathed calmly and chuckled a little.
"Get coffee you damn gamer" Yaku jelled at Kenma and shook his shoulder to wake him up. "Mhhh.. just five more minutes.." the small boy mumbled and turned his face away from the smaller male. Yaku shook his shoulder again, harder this time. "No, wake up now!" he said even louder and nearly pushed him off the chair "Okay, okay mom" 'Blondie' muttered and sat up, stretching. "Ahh, it was really just a dream.." he sighed as he looked at the empty chair in front of him and got a little sad. But he stayed quiet. "Huuh? Who did you just call mom?" Yaku said loudly and offended, squinting his eyes when he stared at Kenma. "Whatever." the taller male mumbled and turned hus face away again. Yaku left. As he stood up and grabbed his game to walk out, he noticed that the girl in thr front seat wasn't there. Shrugging it off, he walked out of the class and down the hallway.
The roof was alwas so nice and quiet. Perfect for gaming in peace or taking naps. He just wanted to go around the last corner but then he saw Kuroo. And the girl. They talked so Kenma hid behind a corner so he wouldnt disturb them. Maybe he also wanted to avoid Kuroo a little. "So. What do you want?" The tall male asked smiling as he looked down at the girl. She was tall, yea, but still smaller than him. "I-I uhm I was always a big fan and uh.." she started and Kenma already guessed what she was doing. "What's with it? Do you need me to sign something for you?" Kuroo asked, seeming to be a little silly on purpose "T-that's not it, even if I wouldn't mind it.." She said and took a deep breath. "..If there isn't someone you like, please go out with me and become my boyfriend!" the girl asked loudly and bent down. Kuroo stayed quiet for a moment. "I can't. I already have a girlfriend.. but pshh" he laid one finger at his lips and smirked. She seemed a little sad but nodded "I understand" was all he could hear before she ran away and nearly bumped into Kenma. He was sad as well. He just continued his way and walked past Kuroo, avoiding to look at him as his ears turned a little red.
