Chapter 5 - Surprise

The alarm went off at 6:30 in the morning and Kuroo groaned as he reached for Kenma's phone to turn it off. "Just 5 more minutes.." Kenma mumbled as he cuddled more to his boyfriend. Kuroo stared at him, completely in awe. "No, come on, you need to have breakfast" "No" "Why not? You need to eat to grow" "Don't wanna" Kuroo sighed. He thought for a moment before he pulled away the blanket from Kenma and stared at this cute thing, curled up to a small ball. He rolled off the bed and picked Kenma up, shaking him gently. "mhhhmm" Kenma hummed loudly in disagreement and snuddled up to him in his arms. "Hey cutie, wake up. Or do I need to wake you up another way?" Kuroo asked, smiling innocently "Still dun wanna" Kenma mumbled a little more quiet, his eyes still closed. The taller male shrugged and licked over Kenma's cheek. Kenma jumped and nearly fell out of Kuroo's arms. "I'm awake, I'm awake" He said bright red and avoided to look into the taller male's dark eyes. "Nice reaction, pudding head" He said and laughed a little. Kenma pouted and struggled a little so Kuroo would let him down. Still holding on to him, Kuroo kept laughing, just to tease him. He walked out of his boyfriend's room, followed by big protest of the small male. "Hey, let me down at least, my paren-" Kuroo suddenly kissed him again so he would shut up and walked down into the kitchen, with a bright red boy in his arms. Kenma's mom stared a little weirded out at the sight of her son in the arms of a stranger and nearly dropped the plate she was holding. "Good morning, I'm Kuroo Tetsurou, the boyfriend of your son" He put Kenma down on one of the chairs and bended down to show his respect. The chins of every family member dropped down. His parents just stared and the dark haired male and then at Kenma. He stayed quiet. Slowly, he looked at his parents slightly shocked faces "S-s-sorry that I didn't tell you" he mumbled quietly. Silence for a while. Uncomfortable silence. Awkward silence. Silence, you wouldn't ever want to hear.

"Well.." his mom started and put away the plate and the towel, "I understand that it should be hard to tell us but I would've liked to find out another way." she said calmly and forced herself to smile. But his father was still staring. He didn't really seem like he had much sympathy for Kuroo and just ignored what just happened. He got up and walked to the living room, turning on the TV there. Documantaries about the shouting human-carrot from across the ocean again. Kenma was glad that he didn't yell but also a little sad, hurt by his ignorance. "Ah- don't worry, I'll talk with him." Kenma's mother walked around the table, to her son and his boyfriend. "So, Kuroo-kun, Kozume, please tell me more about your relationship." She sat down next to Kenma and before he could say anything, Kuroo started talking like a waterfall. About how much he loved Kenma, how they met the first and second time, how he got into the house at night and they 'cuddled'. The woman listened to him patiently and smiled a little as she heard how caring the taller male was. When he finished, there was silence again for a moment. But this time it wasn't as uncomfortable as the first time.. well at least not for Kuroo or Kenma's mother. "So basically you know the other's feelings and respect them right?" she asked smiling and Kenma and Kuroo nodded at the same time. "Good" His mother got up and walked over to them. She grabbed Kenma's arm and pulled him up as well when she pulled Kuroo into a hug. The nice woman hugged them both tightly before returning, smiling, to the dishes. Kuroo looked on his phone and picked Kenma up again, nearly running back to his room "Get dressed, we need to leave in 5 minutes" He said and put him down in front of his closet, walking out of the room again and closing the coor. He didn't want to make Kenma feel uncomfortable again so he waited outside while he changed. After a while Kenma opened the door again with his bag on his back. Kuroo nealry fell backwards because he had leaned against the door. "Okay then let's go" Kuroo said happily and took Kenma's hand, dragging him out of the house.
