Dipper, the siren Prince, had always loved exploring the sea, (especially when Mabel wouldn't hang out with him due to finding her mate- a Noble named Pacifica) but soon he only saw the same things everywhere.

Nothing new to look at.

Nothing interesting.

No mysteries to solve.

No matter were he went underwater.

That's when he took to watching sailboats near the surface of the water.

Now, one day he was watching a boat called the "SS Rehpic" sail across the ocean, the salt water spraying up at the hard working soldiers.

He admired any sailor he saw.

Some had lost arms.

Some lost hands.

All of them had legs. Some lost a leg.

Except for a sailor he saw once. He had no legs but pegs in their spots.

But through all that, they still worked at sea, exploring the world above. Even the no-legged sailor.

Over on that ship, the SS Rephic, was the Captain Cipher, on a quest to find undersea gold in a faraway cavern.

The Captain, Bill Cipher, went to sea because he found land too boring. Bill thought it was repetitive, and he knew all there was to know. The sea was a new conquest.

That fateful day, the Captain spotted a head poking out of the water, then darting back in.

He had shouted at his sailors to drop the anchor and stop the sails from working.

Scrambling underwater was Prince Dipper, next in line to the throne, worrying.

I've been spotted. He thought.

I shouldn't be so curious! Mabel warned me about being caught! Dipper scolded himself.

He tried to swim away, when all of a sudden a rope net caught him.

He struggled to get to the top before it broke the surface in an attempt to escape, but to no avail.

The sailors pulled him out of the water, up to a Captain who was smirking down at him.

Dipper started coughing.

His face turned red, not from embarrassment, but lack of water.

Some sailors brought over a bucket and two females placed him inside it, into the sweet saltwater.

Dipper took a deep breath.

Three male sailors carried his tub of water into a luxurious room, the Captain leaded them.

Bills at down on his bed, across from the water tank.

The sailors left.

Neither the Cap or the Siren spoke.

"So, kid, what exactly are you?" Captain Bill asked the Siren, clearly just trying to strike up a conversation.

No response.

"Uh, kid, can you talk?" Bill asked after a few minutes.

"Yes." Dipper responded.

"Have a name?"

"Yeah."

"What is it?" Bill insisted.

"Classified," Dipper said to the pirate.

"Okay, Classified," Bill said sarcastically, "Why were you by the surface? Sirens don't normally...explore."

"I was bored."

"You're not supposed to be allowed up there," Bill said with his large amass of knowledge showing.

"Maybe I don't follow the rules."

"Sarcastic much?"

"..."

"So, Kid, I'm going to call you...Pinetree, lack of a better name."

The Siren Prince wouldn't speak.

"Okay. I'm going to grab grub for the both of us," Bill said awkwardly and left.

He came back with a plate of fish, causing the younger boy to swim to the opposing corner of his tank, green in the face.

"So...I got you some fish..."

"Are you okay, Pinetree? You seem sick."

"Pinetree?"

"Kid!?"

Bill placed the food outside his cabin door and walked back in, finding a very disgusted and exhausted looking Siren.

"Captain?"

"Yeah Pinetree?"

"I don't....eating fish in the sea is like eating your siblings..."

"Oh." After a moment, lost in thought, Bill said to the young boy, "Call me Bill."

"O-okay, C-ca...Bill."
