Everyone is outside just talking and minding their own business. I walked outside, Daryl soon followed. I walked up to Carol to see how she was coping. She didn't say much, she just looked at me and half smiled then looked at Daryl. "I'm glad you guys are all here. I have to tell you something" "What is it Glenn?" Rick looked puzzled. "There are walkers in the barn." "What!?" Everyone freaked out. Daryl stayed close to me, Shane was furious. He went up to Hershel's house and started yelling. He grabbed guns and handed them to everyone, I didn't take one, I didn't want anything to do with this. Daryl took a gun, I looked at him with sadness and ran off into the house as Hershel and his family came rushing out.

I wasn't sure what had happened, there was sudden gunfire, then silence. After a few seconds a final shot was fired. I came outside to see what had happened, but I couldn't really tell. There was yelling, crying, fear. Hershel and his family came rushing back inside and Shane was yelling at Hershel again, then Maggie slapped his face and screamed at him to never come into the house. "Alice you can stay in the house if you like, you didn't get involved" Patricia held out her hand, I looked at Daryl and everyone else, then back to Patricia, then took her hand and we all went inside. "What, what happened out there? Why was the silence then one more shot?" "The little girl, Sophia, she was in the barn, we didn't know." Hershel said trying to be calm. I just nodded my head and kept my mouth shut.
