Always in between: Who's side to choose. Chapter 6

Finn runs as the Shadowman through the forest. She wants to get away from all what happened. Don’t have to pretend that she agrees with the Sheriff. She sits quietly against a tree so she can overlook Rochdale. This is her place since she is the Shadowman. To be alone for a moment and to feel safe despite the dangers in the forest.

Her thoughts wander off and just at the moment when Allan comes into her mind she feels a knife to her throat .

Finn remained calm and waited for the person who has the knife against her throat to saying something.

" Knife!" She suddenly hears. Finn is not going to give him. Finn isn’t going to give her knifes to him. She hears that it is Allan despite he set another voice.

"You do not get my knives Allan," Finn says quietly while he still has his knife against her throat.

"How did you know it was me?" Asks Allan and takes the knife away.

"I thought I told you that I no longer wanted you close to me,"  says Allan Finn and pushes him away so he falls to the ground again. "I can recognize your voice perfectly well since we lived our lives in the same place. '

Allan sits back and asks why she sat down here. He was here first.

"Maybe because this is my place for years, " Finn curtly said. "And besides that if I had seen you, I did not sit down."

Finn want to get up, but Allan stopped her by holding his knife against her arm. When she gets up, he gets her arm open.

"Stay!" Say Allan compelling. Finn sees the look in his eyes that she should stay or he really gets her open. She sits back hoping that Allan gets his knife away for her arm.

Finn… " says Allan. "I need to talk to you about something that has long bothered me."

Finn nods to confirm that she continue to sit and let him speak.

Finn, I'm sorry that I stole a few times with you,"says Allan as he pulls his knife away. "But you know how tough a big brother should act to his little brother. "

"No, I do not know," says Finn short. "And if you talk to me, please be honest and do not lie like you just did!"

"I'm not lying!" Says Allan, but Finn sees something in Allan's eyes that betray him.

"I see you're lying!" Finn says angrily . Angry because he keeps lying. "If you do not want to tell the truth, I'm gone."

"But I'm not lying!" Allan says with conviction. Finn looks disgusted at Allan. He keeps lying. She stands up and dodges his hand just in time so he couldn’t grab her arm again.

"Okay, I did not do it to make me look tough' says Allan honestly. "You have so much that it didn’t  interest me whether you would still have it or I stole it from you. I 've never really had anything of myself and if I had my brother stole it from me. "

" Glad you 're honest Allan," says Finn.

When he spoke, she saw nothing in his eyes what said that he lied.

Allan wonders why Finn knew that he was lying and when he spoke the truth.

He looks at her and asks why she is still dressed.

"Someday I 'll tell you why I walk around like this at night, " says Finn suddenly.

Allan looks at her questioningly. He wants to know now!

Finn..." Allan can not say more because he gets the knife of Finn against his neck.

"If you tell someone that I look like this Allan. Then you wont live long!" Says Finn.

Allan understands that she is serious and keeps his mouth.

" Shadowman?" He asks. The blade is pushed into his neck more.

"Would you like to die Allan? So it seems." Says Finn.

"No! My wife is pregnant and..."says Allan and feels the knife closer to him again.

"Do not lie Allan! No woman likes it when you continue to lie!"Finn says and makes a little cut in his neck so he bleeds.

That makes Allan angry and want to lash out at Finn, but Finn dodges him and takes the knife off neck.

"Let that be a warning to you Allan," Finn says, and runs into the shadows. ASAP Allan goes after her, but loses her sight.
