She saw Diana walking out of the restroom as if nothing happened, fixing her smudged make up and lip stick.
"Diana", she said.
Diana turned to face her with a face that held no regret. She seemed to enjoy what she did.
"What? Is your little lover boy still crying his eyes out for mama?" Diana asked.
She was taken aback at the rudeness but decided to stay put for him. He wanted Diana and that was all that matters.
"Diana please, dont do this to him, you are his first love, his first kiss..", she trailed off, not knowing how far they had taken their relationship.
"So what? I was known as 'first kiss stealer' at high school", Diana said looking at her nails, as if she was asked what her favourite hobby was, nonchalant as ever.
"Please, he needs you. I cant see my best friend break into pieces and not do a thing, please, come back to him, plea-" she begged, but her words were cut off by a familiar face and voice.
" oh, so we meet again, huh?" Jade came out of the washroom that Diana just exited from. She looked from Diana to Jade and realised that it was with Jade that she had cheated on her bestie. She froze, not knowing how to react.
"You damn bitch! Look what you did to my face", he growled and charged towards her. She took quick steps backwards until she hit something rock hard. She looked up to see the love of her life stare down at her.
"What did you call her?" He growled.
"Now the lover boy falls in love with another girl? Thats so cliché you know", Jade said.
"I was ALWAYS in love with her, i loved her so much that i was scared to accept it myself. And you there", he said, pointing at Diana, " you know why i spent time with you? Because you were easy. Yup! Thats right. I came after you to get over my obsession with her. She was too difficult, too beautiful, and too good for me that i had to suppress my feelings for her. Thats why i came after you", he said, looking straight in her eyes and everybody in the room knew he meant every word of what he just said.
"Oh, is that why you sent me her pic and location and asked me to harass her? Because she was too difficult for you?" Jade challenged him, flashing his phone in front of them.
Diana smirked as they both froze. He stared at the screen that displayed his number and a photo of her and her location on that day when she found him and Diana in the elevator to their little Den. He had never intended to take Diana to Den. It was always their thing, his bestie's and his. He would have never let a girlfriend come in the way of their friendship. He would have left Diana in the 4th floor to go home alone. But she had seen them do what they did. He had seen the look in her eye. The hurt. The embarrassment. He had seen it all. He ran after her as soon as the elevator door opened but she was gone. He ran behind whichever way he thought she went, but she couldnt be traced. So he decided to wait outside her house. It was when he thought of calling Diana and asking her to go home alone when he found that his phone was missing.
"Are you telling me that this isnt your number?" Jade provoked him further.
He turned to look at his bestie, as pale as snow, as she turned and ran. She ran outside the building and up the office building. She climbed all eight flight of stairs, and breathed hard when she reached their little Den. She broke down on the floor and she let out the tears and the sob that she was holding for so long.
He grabbed the collar of Jade's shirt, and it was when he was about to give Jade's face a second punch that his attention went to Diana. She was there when he lost his phone. And understanding hit him.
"You did it, dint you?" He asked Diana.
Diana's smirk left her face when she realised that she was caught. She tried to come up with an excuse when he raised his hand to shut her up.
"Did you, or did you not?" He asked her.
"I.. Um.. I..", she stuttered.
"Why?" He asked, through gritted teeth.
"Because i was jealous?! Although you were with me, it was her that you always spoke and thought about. That day when she saw us in the lift, you ran after her and left me there, alone. I was angry and jealous and i had your phone. So i messaged him to get her. I wanted to kill her, but thank me that i only got her frightened", she smirked.
He looked at Diana and felt ashamed that he once thought that she was pretty. She was plastic, and she had no internal beauty. She was evil.
"You should have heard the way she screamed when i pounced on her, but you are right, she was damn difficult, she kicked me right where the sun doesnt shine and ran out. If only i got another chanc-" Jade was cut off when a punch landed straight on his nose and he was knocked out to the ground.
"My mother told me never to touch filth, so i am not hitting you", he told Diana before running for the girl he wanted.
He exited the building, and at once he knew where to find her. Their Den. He climbed all the stairs and found her curled up in a corner. He sat next to her.
"You dont believe what he said, do you?" He asked.
She shook her head no and looked at him.
"Then why are you crying?" He frowned.
"I am sorry that i couldnt fix it. I made it worse. I was horrified to see Jade again. I should have tried harder to get Diana and you back togethe-", her words were lost as he smashed his mouth against hers in a pleading kiss.
"I love you! I love you!" He whispered.
She smiled and looked up into his eyes.
"I always loved you too", she smiled through tears.
He let out a satisfied sigh as he held her in his arms.
" i think we should change this place's name from The Den", he said after a long time, and looked at her fondly.
"What do you suggest?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Heaven", he smiled.

Scarlet closed her diary and looked up at Zac. He gave her a knowing smile before kissing her forehead.
"What is the name of this story mama?" Amy, their 6 year old daughter asked.
Scarlet looked at Zac and asked him for a suggestion.
He smiled, held her hand and said, with more love in his eyes that most people can ever imagine of,
"Head over heels. Because thats how i fell for your beautiful mother".
